hello. i just had my birthday at Etiquette in the Boudoir parlor room and I was extremely happy with the night...the crowd was really fun, not pretentious, the service was good, and the music was amazing! too bad lounges close at 2 cause we were having too much fun. i would definitely recommend doing a birthday or gathering at this new hot spot.
Pros: great service, fun crowd
Cons: can get crowded if you don't have seating

We chose etiqutte 4 my sister 25th bday mostly based on ambiance. We walked into our VIP lounge 2 find spew on our seats. I found someone to clean it but it took 30 min to do so. 45 minutes to see our host, and 30 more to get our bottles. A rep came in to appoligize 4 this & offered a free bottle of champagne 4 the inconvenience. No one drank champagne so I asked 4 shots. They brought 6 shots for 12 people, leaving 6 without & sitting in the stentch of spew. Our host was never around. We only saw her 4 times, to take the drink order(most VIP lounges ask 4 this prior 2 & have it ready when u get there),to bring the alcohol, take our money while taking a shooting our $250 Patron, & to drop the credit slip. I was shocked to see 20% gratuity added. Very upset I went to find the owner. Their website boasts "Ettiquettes event planners will coordinate & manage every detail to match your expectations." After making reservations I never heard from them again. They never asked 4 a guest list, funny because our room included cover. 2 guests had to pay & all stood in line, so much for VIP! Very frustrating when I payed someone to manage every detail and expectations, pretty hard to do when u don't bother to ask what they are. The owners response to the tip being included in the price of the room (I was told on the phone)"It is included, we added it." I guess someone needs to look up the definition of "included". I would have no issue paying if the service fit price, it did not. His only compensation for their weak attempt at customer service was to give me his card & tell me that he wold take good care of us NEXT TIME. Don't bother because I won't be back. Not recomended for parties/group reservations. Dress for heat & get ready to be shoved around the dance floor. Rough hood especially 4 girls night out. The bouncers stood by and watched a druggie KO a transient. Has potential if the staff & owner will realize without customers you have no club
Pros: Nice decor
Cons: Small, hot, crowded, no customer service, bad area, VIP treatment

I have lived in SF for 4 years and I ventured to Etiquette last Saturday to check it out. The place is amazing! Intimate, busy, great crowd, fun music, not pretentious. I will definitely be back. My friends had the Boudoir VIP area which is amongst the best I have seen in the city. Perfect for people watching, lounging, or dancing with friends.

This place is really great. Aside from the slightly sketchy hood, the place boasts a wonderful crowd, great cocktails, and fun danceable music. I have been a couple times when they had live beatboxers perform which was really cool too. A great place to party away the weekend!

Went last Saturday night. Awesome times. Great crowd with great ratios. Music was fun and danceable. Drinks were strong. I would recommend the Market St. Manhattan. If you're not careful, it'll knock you on your a@#. I will be a regular at this new joint.
Pros: music, ppl, drinks
Cons: parking garage is 1.5 blocks away

One of the best new spots in SF. Loved it loved it loved it last Saturday night. Great fun crowd. Very fun DJs that kept us dancing all night. Lots of cozy seating for when we wanted to take a break. Nice bouncers and staff too. I will definitely be back soon.
Pros: Music is outstanding. Decor. Friendly Staff

Friends & I got there on Friday night around 10:45pm & the lady at the door insisted on a $5 cover charge eventhough we were on the guest lists. (your web site say it is free before 11pm) We took a look inside & there were less than 20 people at the time. We went to the W & spent about $150 there instead. We went back on Saturday & it was much more crowded, all my friends agreed that the music is terrible. The DJ is either trying to please all races, stop playing music you can't dance to, club music need to get your heart pumping for more. May be that's why only 25% of people were actually dancing, the rest are just in groupie. ICON on Folsom, that's a club with kicking dance music!!!
Pros: Cozy,
Cons: Music is not happening

As we entered at around 11:30 pm, we saw that it had great atmosphere and great decor. However the music which I hoped would be a combination of hip hop and top 40 hits was disappointing and awful. The resident DJ, DJ Von was more entertaining when he took a bathroom break. They need to seriously fire him and get someone else who knows how to mix and make something actually audible and enjoyable. This was the first time I went there and at first my friends and I were excited because it was a new club and it seemed that the crowd was having a good time. But after listening to the music, my heart sank, my hope for a good time shattered, all due to DJ Von's performance. The crowd disappeared by 1:00 am, which is typically the epoch of a traditional clubbing experience, but at Etiquette Lounge, the few (around 30 people) who braved to stay, were either getting drinks (to avoid the music), sitting down (because you didn't want to dance) , or text message (to wait for another song). Most likely, the ones who were text messaging, were telling their friends that the music su-ked. My friends and I tried to have a good time, but after an hour and a half of sitting, drinking, and attempting to make good of what we could. No fun was to be had. I'm sure Etiquette Lounge is a great place for drinks in the afternoon, but for music and dancing in the evenings, I'll stick to Suite 181, 1015 Folsom, and the countless other clubs and lounges San Francisco can offer. Please take heed in my advice, DON'T GO TO ETIQUETTE LOUNGE!!!!! To give you a good idea of how bad the music was. --All the reserved tables and VIP sections were empty by 1:00 am. --Only 30 people inside at 1:20pm (when I officially left). --Bouncers/Security even told my friends and I, that "THIS DJ IS AWFUL, HE SU-KS".
Pros: ATMOSPHERE
Cons: DJ VON, MUSIC, LOCATION, AND SMALL SIZE

I went to Etiquette for my first time last night and loved it. I met my group of friends and had a blast. I am paying for it today. I loved the different look of the place, cool style and light. The music was great, i even shaked my tail for a few. Will be going back for sure.
