Best veggie dog ever had!!! thought I was eating meat!!! friendliest owners in town and environmetal conscious too. made to order potato tots a must, crispy on the outside and mushy soft inside. love the varieties of organic soda. healthy food and healty price. the posters on the walls are awesome, very cozy tiny place only has 3 tiny tables but you can always sit outside the bench or the steps of next door church. it even provides color chalks for customers to draw/write and show off their talents on the sidewalk. go and have a good time!!!
Pros: right food, right price, right serivce
Cons: none

"Soooo good! And good for you. These people use 100% organic meats and ingredients. You can get beef, chicken, turkey, or veggie dogs. Cheap, delicious, and socially conscious. And, they're very friendly!"
Pros: great organic food, friendly owners, small business with attitude

I've always liked small businesses & Underdog is exactly that. There's 3 tables which seats approx 6 persons. The co-owner, Rizza, is really sweet and friendly. Everything in the store is organic and environmentally green. Yea! The brats were good, choice of toasted white or wheat buns or on lettuce. They offer several vegan dogs as well. The tater tots are cooked to order in a toaster oven, one serving is enough for 2 persons. The tots have a crunchy exterior and soft center, like mashed potatoes. If you don't mind the $3 price for a lunch sized bag of the organic "Gladcorn" corn snack, it's really different. Corn nut -like kernels crunch into a crispy corn-flavored interior, a cross between a popcorn and a tortilla chip. The condiment counter has organic mustards, ketcup, relish, purple onions and kraut to accompany your dog. Opened since 12/06, I wish them a long lasting successful venture.
Pros: Sm business, friendly service, organic and vegan dogs/food items
Cons: Metered parking, limited seating

I don't usually eat sausage becuase I don't know what's inside the casing. Since I discovered Underdog, the tiny organic sausage joint on Irving Street, I've been going back for its veggie sausages ( at least I know veggie what it is), they all taste great and the veggie Italian is super. Its potato tots is a must, they are baked not fried, sooooo cripy on the outside and soft inside. It has great posters too!!! It's a pleasure to hang out there looking at those posters and talking to the always smiling owner/worker behind the counter. It also carries varieties of organic soda and sneak. I like the sesame bar. Go there in a sunny afternoon, sit outside the bench and have an organic hotdog and soda, or a piece of organic pie, it's just simple luxury.
Pros: food is always great and the price is right
Cons: the place is tiny, not so good for group gathering

I absolutely love this place!!! My favorite is the veggie italian sausage with a side of tatar tots!!! Yummy!! Great food!! Great people!! Great atmosphere!! everything is absolutely yummy!! The foods good for you and so is the environment they're made in and so are the folks they're made by! I hated hot dogs in the past but this place has opened my taste buds now I love em only if they're from the underdog!!! The owners are also the employees and they always welcome you with open arms. By the way my kid loves they're Organic PBJ sandwich which is made in a warm and toasted organic bun! this little place should serve as a role model for all business' to follow. much thought has been put into every aspect of trying to conduct a socially responsible business. everything served is made with organic ingredients. all of the plastics used here are biodegradeable their either made out of corn or potato. all the paper products are made from recycled paper. recycling is encouraged. they try to produce as little waste and try to use as little energy as possible. i've been in the foodservice industry so i know that it's not very cost effective for them to have such business practices, but nevertheless, they are still doing it. though still, i totally applaud their intentions. plus they have a good selection of organic snacks and beverages. YaY, GO UNDERDOG!!!
Pros: good food, enviromentally friendly, sevice, great intentions
Cons: none
