Had a good experience during lunch so I decided to go for dinner. Terrible service and the waitress kept arguing with us. She brought only half the dishes we ordered. We paid and left. Thinking that maybe it was an isolated incident I went back and even worst the third time. Got our appetizers and drinks but had to wait for hours for the main course and they got it wrong. Great food but horrible service. I think its because of the language problems of the wait staff and money is deducted from the waiter/waitresses pay if the management has to fix anything for customers so needless to say they wont admit any mistakes. I don't recommend it at all.

This restaurant is always busy during lunch and dinner, but it is always worth the wait! I love their food -- their appetizer (Fried Tofu w/ peanut sauce, fresh spring roll), their drinks (thai iced tea and alcoholic mixed drinks), their entree (yellow curry chicken and volcanic beef), their desserts (sticky rice with mango)... It is so so good!!! I definitely recommend this restaurant to all my friends, acquiantances, and family.

most horrific dining experience in SF to date.

I JUST got back from lunch at Osha and am beyond outraged by this place. If you care at all about service and management, DON'T eat here!

My sister and I were seated at the bar for a day-after my birthday lunch. We sat at the bar for 15 minutes, starving, until i was able to flag someone down to take our order. Everything seemed OK after that, until my food arrived abour 8 minutes before my sisters. I look at the check. I see, "Diet coke - 4 ($2.00) - $8.00". I'm sorry, $8.00 for diet coke?????? I say to the bartender, "you never told us we were being charged for the refills." She says "This is a thai restaurant. we charge for refills. I didn't know you didn't know". whhhhhaaaatt?? So, these sodas were TINY, and glasses were filled with mostly ice. I say, "well, most places don't charge for refills and you didn't tell us".

So we pay, and I go to the front to speak to the manager (which I never do) because an apology or a free appetizer will easily redeem this place.

I start to explain to the manager how the service was horrible and slow and we had to flag the bartender down everytime we needed something. My sister says that most places have free refills and we should have been told about the charge. The manager then gets all bitchy (it's a man) and says "um, this is a THAI restuarant, we charge for refills". WTF? No other thai place does. Aqua doesn't. McDonalds doesn't. So my sister says she was a server for 5 years and most places dont and the manager says "thats not true, i disagree, we don't have to give free refills". DUUUUUUDDEEEEE was alll queen b*tch about it. So, I say "well, between the bad service and the refill charge, we were really not happy with our service" and my sister starts to say something and the manager makes the "shush" hand sign in her face and says "can i only talk to her". B*tch just shushed my sister!

  • Cons: service, manager's attitude, charging for refills

I agree with the other readers about the poor service. We had a large party (with a reservation), and one more person than anticipated showed up. It would have been very easy to push another chair in at the table, but we got a whole lotta attitude from the server and the manager. As for the food, very mundane and average Americanized Thai. Not a hint of heat in the dishes, and not a whole lot of authentic ingredients (e.g., regular broccoli instead of Asian broccoli). Overall, a rather underwhelming experience.

  • Pros: Can accommodate large groups
  • Cons: Poor attitude of wait staff and manager; mediocre food

thai food is alright, but it's not my favorite. i got the chicken satay and lamb appetizer and it was very yummy. i do love thai iced tea and they do give a huge glass of it here. very much worth the $4. the cucumber salad was good too.

My colleagues went out to celebrate my birthday there during lunch time. It was our first time at this location. We ordered dishes to share because not everyone was hungry enough to take on a dish by his/herself. We even had leftovers by the time we finished.

Our waitress has attitude problem.

Floor manager also has attitude problem when we asked for small bowls to share a soup noodle. He said, "You guys should've ordered two more of these soup noodles if you were going to share!". I take suggestions but not when they are accompanied with attitude. Hey Osha @ Embarrcadero, don't want to provide bowls? Then don't! I've told all of friends about our experience there.

Maybe they have enough businesses so they don't really care about how they serve customers. I would rather go back to the one on Second St. and Mission. At least that Osha treat customers with respect.

  • Pros: Good food, Value is there
  • Cons: Service with attitude, certainly didn't justifiy the 18% gratuity

My boyfriend found this restaurant online since I like Thai food, so we decided to go to this location for our first time. Nice restaurant setting followed by good food & service! Although, the orders come out "to share" rather than for you alone to eat...so it's a perfect eatting setting depending on the company you go with *wink*. We liked it & would go back!

  • Pros: Quick seating & service; Friendly & good service;
  • Cons: Parties larger than 6 pull away soothing and/or romantic atmosphere experience.

It was my first time eating @ this restaurant & usually I would go to a common place to eat but since I treated my bf for his bday i decided to book reservations @ this place. Although ppl say you cant book reservations, well you could & it helped cuz there wasn't a wait or anything! Service was great and the ppl that served us were friendly & polite. we got our orders within 5-7 mins. tops. when i thought it would take 10-12 mins. It is really clean there, they have table cloths for the tables so its not filty where they just wipe the tables w/ a rag. Although it is dim inside it still have a beautiful set up and designs around it. Great for groups & dating. The reason why i booked this restaurant b/c i wanted to look for a place for couples that has a romantic setting w/ a nice view of something. This Osha restaurant said in its website it has the best view out of 5 of them & when i booked reservations, i asked if i can be seated where there is a view and to be honest its not even a nice view at all. your view is basically the ferry building & it was foggy that night so it wasn't great. that's the only thing that upset me was the view b/c that is what i was looking forward to was a beautiful view but it was whack! parking can be a pain b/c during the day before 6pm you have to pay meters or park far or park in the garage & pay. After 6pm there would be free parking on the meters & i was blessed that night that i parked one block away from the restaurant where the meters were after 6pm. Overall I enjoyed my service there and the foods were good but they can be pricey & give a you little portion of it. My bf enjoyed his bday dinner there and he says its good but parking is a pain though! Although i recommend it b/c its a great place for dates or just having dinner w/ a friend or so!

  • Pros: Fast Service in the evening/Polite Employees/Great for Dates!
  • Cons: Parking/Dont have a nice View like they say they do
