great pizzas in a teeny tiny spot that is worth the wait
by marinfoodie
yummy fresh innovative flat pizzas and great soups, and Strauss soft ice cream with super topings (olive oil and salt - spectacular). Friendly service. Seats about 9, so expect a wait - and it's worth it
Neapolitan-style thin-crust pizza followed by an organic soft-serve dessert makes for a real crowd pleaser at this bustling Marin eatery.

In Short
This ultra-casual pizzeria, adjacent to the more upscale sister restaurant Picco, is the perfect place to park your bike after a long ride through scenic Marin. Diners choose one of the sunny outdoor tables or take the option of an indoor counter seat, where they can soak in the aromas of the wood-burning oven while watching the chefs create thin-crust pies. Popular toppings include blue-oyster mushrooms and pecorino cheese, fresh pulled mozzarella with picco pancetta and prawns or house-made sausage and pepperoni.
Good pizza, uneven service

The pizza is excellent, but they need to do something about the service. Customers who will have dinner and buy a bottle of wine are forced to wait for one of the six indoor seats while ten year-olds eat hot fudge sundaes, because (surprise) this restaurant emphasizes both high-end pizza and low-end soft ice cream equally. The wait staff consists of junior college girls who avoid eye contact with the half dozen people waiting for tables. Every now and then a manager from the restaurant next door appears, but the service doesn't improve.
