Best local live music venue

Of all it's various incarnations, this one is the best! Great live bands nearly every night. Fun Happy Hour, especially on Tuesdays when they have local comedy in the back room. Also, the only place to really get your karaoke on! The bartenders have a heavy hand and are super rad.

Supersaturated, vintage paintings of female nudes color the otherwise black and red walls of this South of Market neighborhood joint, known for strong drinks and nightly rotating bands and DJs. Live punk, soul and everything in between happens in a roomy stage and dance floor area, while deep in back, an almost-secret karaoke room can fit up to 50 wannabe-idols on Monday, Friday and Saturday nights.
