Give me a break!
by princessellem
The server at this store was so very rude when I went in there, she not only forgot to give me my change (which I would have tipped her anyway, she didn't have to get sneaky), she was downright abrupt. Moreover, heck, I'll say it one more time! Wow, the previous Yelper was right on! 15 cents for a paper cup? And they had the B@&#$ to say it out loud? If a store wants to charge more money, go ahead and do it, but don't nickel and dime me like this is some type of resort that has to charge for the internet, the use of the phones, the use of the gym. Give me a break!
Unique & Delicious

Cute little diner w/ a very coffee-house type vibe. There is limited seating, and the service is fairly slow even when not obviously busy, but the food is absolutly worth the little extra time you'll have to wait. Vegitarians and Meat-eaters alike would enjoy the Jerusalem Sun sandwich-- olives, tomato, avocado...Yumm! And I am always for a place that has homemade Lemonade!
- Pros: food, drink, coffee
- Cons: a little slow
San Francisco's famous Italian cafe's Mid-Market location.
by Contributor
In Short
This bustling coffee shop off of Market Street is an homage to the original location in North Beach. A cheery and bright location that upholds the musical traditions of Caffé Trieste, the café serves up the founding Giotta family's famous Italian espresso. A sweet tooth and a caffeine craving are the only prerequisites for a great experience.
Terrible customer service
by ryancarey76
Food was decent. However, the service was horrible. They brought my dessert before my sandwich and then when I was done with my sandwich, no one was around to bring the dessert back. I actually stood at the counter and was ignored by employees. I don't usually complain, but this was ridiculous. I will never go back.
- Cons: Service
A real European cafe with Caffe Trieste's City best espresso, good food, jazz, Brazilian & Italian music

Don't miss the first new Caffe Trieste in San Francisco in 50 yearson the edge of Hayes Valley and the Castro. No compromise on Caffe Trieste's famous coffee, great desserts, gelato, panini sandwiches, salads and hot meals. They are also becoming a new music venue with top jazz groups, Brazilian and Latin music and the North Beach Caffe Trieste musicians.
- Pros: Atmosphere, coffee, music
