Just wanted to write in to say how much I enjoyed my service with Kylee Slevin. I came into Treat looking for color, but did not have a million bucks to spend. I was told that their new appprentice was fantastic and was offering color at an outstanding value. I recieved a great service, both color and personality. My experiece with Kylee was a great "TREAT". I would love to see her become sucessful, so I would recommend her to anyone! I have not tried a cut yet at Treat Salon but I plan on it. Peace.

Pros: Great color, Great Price

Went into Treat and I was recommemded to see Julie for a "great men's haircut". I'm not really to choosey when it come to my hair. I was so suprised at everything you get with the cut! She rubbed my feet and hands and gave me a really great cut. All the extras, a great hair cut and did I mention she was totally hot. $55.00.

Pros: lots of stuff for a good price, hot hair dressers

Cons: none

I went to Treat based on the citysearch reviews - I was looking for a salon/stylist that could do great blond highlights. The salon itself is nice, and I found the staff friendly and amenable. I went a few times, was never really thrilled with the result, but never left in tears either. Until my last appointment, which was a little before christmas. My hair truely looked awful as I left, in no way a reflection of the supposed skill of either my colorist (Jeremy) or stylist (Natasha). To be honest, most of the time I felt like Jeremy just whacked in foils haphazardly, and didnt really care much about what I looked like either before I had my hair done, or as I walked out of the door. I ended up too blond more than once, and the last time I felt a bit like Morticia Adams, after having requested more lowlights - I was way darker than I had requested, with grayish white streaks at the front. Gawd, it was terrible! My cuts with Natasha weren't what I expected from sombody I had been given absolutely rave reviews about from Jeremy, the last one was uneven, and a minimal amount was taken off, she was late and rushed, her next client was already waiting for her while she attempted to style my hair, for some reason she put my hair into pin curls and dried my hair with a diffuser and thus had more or less an unattractive afro to contend with...and she got flustered. I wasn't particularly happy, esp as I was going to be forking out over $200 for the experience. I was offered a second blowdry on that last occasion, and always a redo if I wasnt happy with the color - but that isnt the point, who wants to or should have to go back to get things fixed, if the job is done properly from the beginning? Good hairdressers can get it right the first time, and thats what people want, we all want that walking out the door like a pampered princess tossing our fabulously coiffed heads and loving our new hair feeling...and I dont think Treat nails it at all.

My stylist, Kathleen Gagnier, did a fantastic job! She listened to what I wanted and made really practical suggestions. I need low maintenance hair but wanted the option to dress things up a bit. Kathleen gave me a great cut that was well suited to my hair type - something I have almost never found in a stylist. She also used Aveda products on my hair that really made a difference and I have loved using them -- no pushy sales just great product recommendations that made sense. Also, starting the visit with a relaxing foot soak and hand/foot massage was a really nice way to start the experience. I will definitely be going back!

Pros: Great Service, Relaxed Professional Atmosphere, Reasonably Priced

Cons: None that I experienced

I recently moved from New York to Noe Valley. I was a regular of the Scott J. salon in NY, and have always been loyal to the brand and their salons. I got a referral from the manager of the Noe Valley Aveda store. He had mentioned treat, and it sounded nice. I saw one of their mid priced stylists, Kathleen. She started on time and the service began with a foot bath and hand massage. The blowdry at the end was great and my hair cut is looking good even when I style it myself. Before I left they introduced me to an apprentice named Kameron who offered to give me complimentary hairstyling whenever I could make it in as part of his training. The front desk was pleasant and it was great to be offered the extra styling sessions when I could do it. There also was a sign at my Stylist's station about a referral program, where I get gift certificates for sending people in. It is nice to be rewarded for doing things for others. More businesses should operate this way.

Pros: Great service, complimentary foot bath & hand massage

My girlfriend and I went in yesterday because the clothing caught our eye. We were looking at the clothing when someone named Lisa came up and introduced herself. This is where my review really begins. I really have NEVER had anyone so sweet and excited about clothing help me with my purchases. Lisa spent a good hour with me and my girlfriend helping us with clohting. We are not an easy two to deal with. We tried on so many things (full price and sale) and she gave great and honest feedback. I think what struck us both was how you could REALLY tell how much she loved the clothing and here job. When someone is really interested and generally loves what they do, you can fake that! She was giving us stories about the brands, ideas on how to wear the cloths and just general fun tips. We usually shop at the larger stores because we find the boutiques can be a little intimidating. This was not the experience we found that this store. We actually had to look at the shopping bag this morning to see what the name of the store was. It was Lisa that stuck out in our mind. Treat has a real gem in this employee. Treat her right "Treat" you don't want this one to ever leave! Every store could use a couple of Lisa's...Sweet, friendly, professional, and really into cloths. Lisa ended our experience at the store with asking us what we were doing next, now that we had great new outfits to wear out. We did not have any plans and ask her for a suggestion. She said if were looking for something in the nieghborhood that Florio, just accross the street was fab. for dinner. We ended up with a 7:45 reservation and all I can say is "this will be our next review". What a great afternoon and evening. Thanks Lisa, your a doll!

Pros: Great clothing sales help (lisa)

I was on Fillmore this weekend and I walked by Treat. They had a recent award from Citysearch in their window that stated they were in the "Best of Citysearch" and "highly recommended" categories. I went in to see if they had room for a walk in haircut. They were able to fit me in with Natasha, the Stylist director. She was a little more than I had planned on spending, but it was worth it! It has turned out to be the best hair cut I have ever recieved. The space was beautiful, and they some great eighties music on that day. They also had some really cool beds that you get your hair washed on. If you are looking for a change, give them a try.

Pros: haircuts

Cons: nnone

I went here from a recommendation I saw on Daily Candy. I was trying to find someone who carries these hot new jeans that I have been looking for, William Rast. They are going to have them, and they are expecting the first shipment any day. I found a really cute leather jacket while I was there. I will definitely be back for the jeans when they are in. The staff was friendly and helpful. They also informed me of their web site that is about to go up, which will have current photos of the clothing they have in stock. What a neat idea, as it will save me a trip.

Pros: Friendly, great selection of clothes

I was sent here by a friend. My hair cut was great, but the staff was even better. I know that it is fun to look around and watch other people get their hair done, but this was the best. The staff was attractive and over the top in only the way that hairdressers can be. It was a nice mid day break from my boring office. If you are looking for something new, I saw a lot of great hair walk out the door while I was there. Good music too.

Pros: Atmosphere, quality

Cons: none

I walked by on a Sunday, and went in to see if they had any openings for a walk in. They referred me to Julie, who had just completed the training program there. My cut was great and she was fun to talk to. The price was nice because she was just out of the training program. It was nice to find a Salon that was open on Sunday, considering most people have the weekend off. She also told me about a great referral program if I send in a friend. I was going to go back anyways, but this way is even better. Give her a try.

Pros: value, open Sundays
