I came to this hidden treasure for a facial a few weeks ago. I didn't expect to receive such great treatment and such great results! I felt revitalized when I walked out, and my skin felt so soft. The woman who helped me, Marianna, was really nice and so was the esthetician Nai. They recommended that I come in for a procedure called Ionothermie. I made an appointment for that and for a full leg wax. The ionothermie was amazing! I lost a few inches right away, so I signed up for the package (I paid for 6 and got the 7th free). The wax only took about 15-20 minutes, and was virtually painless, at least in comparison to all the other places I've been to. I'd strongly recommend this place; their procedures work and they their personal touch to their service.

HORRIBLE experience. while the facial was okay. the owner after overhearing my conversation with her staff- went up to me and said "you seem irritated" after i left the spa to go about my day. she kept insisting i wasn't satisfied with the service WITHOUT ASKING ME how i was doing. now that's customer service that could use a ton of work! never ever shove your opinions/misinterpretations down your customers throats. the owner also chased me down the hallway and proceeded to argue with me as if i hated the facial when i didn't!!!!! come here if you want to be haggled and treated badly!

Cons: arrogant annoying staff, they keep asking you to buy their products

Having recently completed a microdermabrasion package at Caramella, I can't say enough good things about this place! Not only was the treatment visibly effective, but the accompanying facial was a relaxing delight at every visit. I just turned 31 and had begun noticing an uptick in the fine lines...microdermabrasion did the trick and resulted in much-improved skin tone and texture. Owner Mariana is gracious, beautiful, and very knowledgeable, and her staff is impeccably trained. I so looked forward to my appointments - Caramella's spa atmosphere is both soothing (warm, low lighting, nice music) and clinically professional - that is, you feel that you are getting that "treat-yourself " atmosphere, while still being in the hands of "the experts." I loved the selection of products used, as well as the explanations I got regarding each one before it was applied to my face. Also, I was pregnant during the second half of my treatments, so the staff adjusted my facials accordingly, using the gentlest products and just generally being considerate of my every need. The spa offers and can recommend various products for you, but they are never pushy. If you are in search of serious skin care in a lovely setting - I would highly recommend Caramella Skin Couture - it's a San Francisco gem!

I have been going to Caramella Skin Couture for months now having received the Deep Poor Clarifying facial session and the Microdermabrasion facial session and my skin has never looked and felt better. The staff is accommodating, wonderfully nice, and provide good advice on how to maintain healthy looking skin. I honestly could not find a better place to go if you want to see results. The spa has a welcoming atmosphere and there is no sales pressure to buy their merchandise. She is the best in San Francisco for spa and beauty treatments. I highly recommend anyone who suffers from skin problems to schedule an appointment with Caramella Skin Couture.

Pros: Friendly atmosphere, great service, helpful.

I've visited the spa twice and have been repeatedly bombarded with pressure from the staff to purchase products. The spa actually forgot my appointment on my first visit, upon arrival the door was locked. I had to call and remind them that I had an appointment. While ths service itself was good, the sales pressure created an uncomfortable environment to what is supposed to be a relaxing. Be advised, if you plan on visitng the spa learn to say "No".

I would have rated this spa higher for the Ionithermie treatmnet, but there was TONS of sales pressure and the quality of service deteriorated after my first appointment. The staff got me really excited about this treatment during my first appointment by showing the number of inches I lost from the treatment. They never measured after this first appointment. At the end of this initial appointment, I ended up giving into the sales pressure and purchasing the buy 6 treatments, get 1 free package. After I had more time to think about my purchase, I realized that due to my summer travel plans, I was not going to be able to afford the entire cost of the package. So, I asked to get a refund for the appointments that I did not yet book, and I was willing to pay full price for the services that I had received. The spa told me that the remainder of this package was NOT refundable. I felt that this was EXTREMELY BAD service on their part and I have lost any positive feelings that I had for them. Thus, I advise you NOT to give in to the sales pressure because once you purchase any multiple service package with this spa, it is not refundable.

I've been to Caramella's many times and they are so nice, always inquiring about me and my life. The microdermabrasions are great because my skin is SO smooth afterwards, but not red or irritated like at other spas. Highly recommend!

Pros: not overly expensive, kind staff, no pressure to buy products, good location

I've got collagen treatment today for the first time in Caramella Skin Couture. The result is amazing! Angela's "touch" made my skin fresh and soft. My rinkles disappeared along with puffiness and my face gained a fresh healthy look. I also want to mention that I was able to really relax during the treatment. The beautiful quite sound of some ocean music brought me far away from my daily problems to a Caramella Island where Murmaid Angela took care of my face, hands and soul. The owner of this very hommy boutique-style spa is also very professional and sofisticated. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody who can enjoy high quality product, outstanding service and immideate result for a very reasonable price.

Everyone here is so nice! I came in for help with my acne and noticed a difference after just one deep pore facial! Although there is no pressure to buy, they do offer great skin products that you should try out In addition to facials, they also offer waxing services. Nai did a GREAT job on my eyebrows.

Pros: clean and sanitary, great atmosphere, friendly staff, personal attention

I was in the city for the summer and decided to treat myself with an ionithermie detox treatment. I lost almost 8 inches in the first treatment. I almost didn't recognize myself! The spa was interested in what I wanted, not what they could sell me. The personal care and professional concern was a wonderful experience. I can't wait to go back to see them again. I highly recommend this beautiful spa and its staff to anyone.
