Best Massage in SF

We did the couples instruction followed by side-by-side massages. Very good all around. Marty was exceptional and my spouse said it was one of the best massages he has ever had...we have masssages about 1X per month so that is quite an accomplishment.

• Pros: Great massage, multi-type massage tailored to you.
• Cons: The ambiance of the spa is not the best. But the end product is excellent.

Lovely rooftop spa offers nurturing services and astounding views.

This intimate spa housed at the top of the ultrasophisticated Hotel Vitale combines fresh, seasonal services with sparkling views of the Embarcadero, Ferry Building and Bay waters. The space features three treatment rooms--two with enormous windows--and a sunny yoga studio with an adjoining outdoor heated patio. A second patio makes for unique rooftop lounging, and a third features a bamboo garden hiding two 142-gallon, deep-soaking bathtubs. Treatments include therapeutic facials, massage, signature bathing rituals, yoga and pet massage.

I had heard some interesting things about this spa and was somewhat let down after visiting. It's a nice location with pretty views but i wasn't impressed with the facial i received. May be worth another shot just to see if I had a bad experience, but wouldn't recommend it.

Great customer service.. a truly pleasant experience.

My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary by treating ourselves to the Bathing Ritual and Side by Side Massage at Spa Vitale. Not only were the treatments heavenly, but the impeccable and pleasant customer service we received was what made the experience truly memorable. Now days with so many "highly rated" businesses being snooty and providing nothing but poor customer service, the staffs at Spa Vitale serve as an example of what "good business" is all about. We would definitely go back again.

• Pros: Gorgeous view (right on Embarcadero), outstanding customer service, well-skilled treatments.
• Cons: A little small but all the "Pros" make up for it!
