Outstanding coffee and a friendly place all around
by ucmike25
Finally, the neighborhood has a great coffee spot. A place where the coffee is perfectly roasted and the staff is always friendly.
- Pros: Friendly folks and great coffee
- Cons: it's catching on...folks are really picking up on this place so there may be a line
BEST TASTING EVERYTHING
by danaamireh
Luv a Java has the best vegan cookies in the whole entire world, best coffee, bagels, tea, juice--EVERYTHING. The location is great, the interior designs, the artwork. This place is perfect, yup.
- Pros: Everything is good
Best Coffe Shop in SF
by karom
I really enjoy going to Luv a Java and grabing a fresh cup of Italian soda. My personal favorite is the Humus Beagle. The shop has nice workers, its clean, and everything is at a good value. In review I'd give Luv a Java a 10/10
- Pros: Good drinks, good food, great value
Best Latte that i have tasted...
by pmulliki
I have tried about 5 coffee places in Noe Valley and this one has the best Latte by far. I also appreciate the fact that they have free internet. I would recommend you give it try.
- Pros: Latte, Atmosphere, Staff
Love Lava Java :)
by jlvodvarka
It's great and cool. The staff is friendly and they have cool artwork up on the walls that you can buy. Their coffee is way cheaper than Starbucks and just as good!
Quiet neighborhood coffeehouse on the edge of Noe Valley dishes up java drinks, tea, pastries and more light fare.

In Short
Warm yellow walls and big windows make for a bright locale, while one wall is dominated by a built-in bookshelf filled with fiction and nonfiction tomes for buying or browsing. Ultra-friendly barristas whip up coffee and tea drinks and serve light bites to neighborhood locals. The signature coffee, a blend of Italian and French roasts, offers a rich, satisfying flavor. Backgammon tournaments and the occasional live performer inject some life into the otherwise low-key locale.
