If you are looking for a location to entertain your guests from out of town or just looking for a great place to eat definitely try Bistro Boudin! The ambience will blow you away! While your there don't forget to check out the Boudin History Museum, and pick up a loaf of piping hot SF French Bread! The whole experience is top notch!
- Pros: Museum, Ambience of Bistro, Full view Bakery

As a local I avoid the Wharf and the overpriced restaurants. Friends dragged me down to this tourist area. We ended up going in to the new Boudin building and upstairs to the Bistro. Whoever designed the restaurant did a great job, and the food was the biggest surprise. Pretty much half the price of the other places in the "hood' and really good. Best Crab Cakes that I have tasted and a great Burger. The wine list is great and the prices lowest I have seen in any restaurant. The service was great, friendly and quick and I will be back. There is a place at the Wharf that has the high SF standards.
- Pros: Great Service, Great prices, Beauriful decor

What a beautiful restaurant !! It surpasses everything on Fisherman's Wharf. The bar is gorgeous--who woudn't want to sit there for a drink and watch the sun go down ???
The service is beyond reproach and everyone has a positive attitude. Tha ambiance will call me back again and again! What a find ! The food is superlative and a class above anything at the wharf. The day we were there they served a sublime crab & corn chowder and the best French Onion soup. My friend had a Ceasar Salad which he said was excellent and I really enjoyed my Dungeness Crab Louis with REALLY fresh crab! I particulary like the way the Louis dressing was served separately, enabling one to take as little or as much as one wants.
- Pros: Good parking, Ambiance, Food
A Bright Spot on the Wharf

This is truly a spot for everyone. I brought friends from the East Coast to Fisherman's Wharf dreading the food, and Bistro Boudin proved me wrong! This is a wonderful new restaurant, we got fresh warm bread, and the staff was friendly and professional. The view was spectacular, and we were able to enjoy it even more in the Museum after dinner. I would try the shell pasta with crab and the warm berry cobbler!
- Pros: Staff, Food, Bread!
A Room with a view

I drove 150 miles to dine here again with european guests. The french onion soup was better than any in Paris. The crab cakes moist fresh and delicious. The favorite of all apetizers were the shrimp cocktail spicy style with avacado and chips.
We have dined here 3 times now and are looking forward to returning for our wedding anniversary.
- Pros: View, Service, parking
SF resident visits Fisherman's Wharf!
by nlippa at Citysearch
Normally, I only visit the Wharf when I have out of town guests, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that there is a new reason to travel down to the water. I dined at the Bistro last Friday night and was blown away by the food/service. The space is brand new and a welcomed change to the other old buildings. The sausage pizza was great as was their take on Crab Cake and Scallops. The Chocolate Coffee Toffee Cake is a great way to end the meal. The service really blew us away. We'll be back even without out of town guests!
- Pros: service, view, dessert
- Cons: nothing
