I started going to Pitch Salon a couple months ago to try and correct a hair coloring that went wrong when I decided to become a brunette. My hair is naturally a blondish brown color but the previous salon had made my hair too red. I saw Daelan and he new instantly what to do to make not only my hair look fabulous but allow my new walnut colored hair color to blend perfectly with my skin tone. I love my hair and I get asked all the time if this is my natural hair color....which is AWESOME !! I highly recommend Pitch Salon and Daelan for hair coloring and cut !

Pros: Great Atmospher, very friendly, knowledgeable and skilled

Cons: Slightly pricey...but worth it

Dealin's technique is consistently fabulous! Whether it's a haircut, style or color, he loves his work and my comely "coif" is a testament to that. His highlights are precise, tasteful and subtle; he'll make you look and feel like the rock star you are. Note: Dealin will be moving over to Shag Salon as of the 2nd October.

I visted Pitch Salon for the first time and loved it. I had Dealan do my highlights and love..love..love my hair. Dealan is definately a hair color genius. The space is great also....not too big (like downtown) and not too small (like some neighborhood salons). One other thing I have to comment on is the cleanliness of the salon...I have been to a lot of salons and I have to say this is the cleanest I've ever been to.

They have an AMAZING stylis there named Lucy, who blowdryed my hair in just a half hour! My hair is very long & thick it's really hard to style. My hair has never looked that good before! I HIGHLY recomended her :-)

This little salon is just perfect! Its filled with light and warmth. The staff is friendly, and fun! I think anyone would feel comfortable at this salon. My stylist was kind, and great to talk with. And my hair cut was perfect and exactly what I wanted. From start to finish, it was a great experience. The salon owner addressed my questions via email before my appointment, so I greatly appreciated that too! Go now, and book your next hair cut with Pitch!

A couple of Friday's ago, had the pleasure of getting some much needed color repair with, Mac, their new colorist. (I understand he is a New York transplant.) For just getting off the plane from NYC (and NOT paying attention to jet lag), I found the salon owner to be very attentive. Aspirin, water, coffee - whatever comforts that could be supplied miraculously appeared. Meanwhile Mac does the most fabulous color anywhere. (And, boy did he have his work cut out for him but we won't go into that!) Would highly recommend Pitch Salon to anyone looking for casual salon experience, attentive service and perfect color! (Oh + - I'm planning to get me some Pureology products on next trip!) ~Claudia from NYC and happy to be in San Fran

Yesterday I got my hair cut at Pitch and, yes, for once I found a stylist that was "right on". I went from long hair to short (something I hadn't done in a long time and was apprehensive about), but my stylist listened attentively to what I had to say and the cut came out even better than I would have hoped. I was also very pleased with the courteous reception I received when I walked in to the salon. Every one there was very attentive to their clients. For once I received great service from A to Z at a very reasonable price. Hats off to Pitch...pardon the pun!

Pros: Awesome space! Well done.

It really depends on the stylist you get; while I've seen great cuts on others, I was unfortunate enough to get a stylist that does not understand my hair (her own hair looked like a mop of seaweed, so that should've been a clue), and gave a cut that's not at all flattering for the texture & color of my hair. The stylist also chopped off a lot more hair than agreed upon, even after being physically shown the desired length. My hair also ended up being asymmetrical (not on purpose), with one side being an inch longer than the other. I would have been open to try another stylist, but the experience was so horrible that I'm not even going to bother.

Pros: Lovely atmosphere, Clean

Cons: Luck of the draw, Asymmetrical hair

Great spot! relaxing cool atmosphere with simple but soothing lines and decor. ambient music keeps you in the mood without becoming annoying or pumping. Besides the salon itself it has some excellent talent. I've seen great cut and color walk out of there each time i go for myself. I just love what Carlos does to my hair each time. He listens, puts you at ease as well as laughs and is extremly hospitable. Whatever you want he will accomadate you. he is the perfect complment to such a soothing salon
