Convenient, cheap, good value

The banh mi here aren't as good as the ones up the street at Saigon Sandwich, but they're still good, and will definitely fill you up for cheap. I work nearby and oftentimes come here because it's right next to work and they have big bottles of water for cheap. The lady that makes the sandwiches is incredibly nice, and some of the other foods they have out, like the spring rolls, are really good.

Also, since it isn't highly rates on citysearch, there isn't a giant line out the door all the time. It's usually been very fast, whereas Saigon Sandwich can take 10-15 minutes sometimes to get your sandwich.

To reiterate: sandwiches aren't the best you can get, but you will not be disappointed.

This no-frills market may not be much to look at, but that doesn't deter the lunchtime crowds. The banh mi, French rolls piled high with sliced pork, chicken or tofu, cilantro, hot peppers, carrots, and a spicy peanut sauce, go for just $2-$3. Ethnic sundries, such as steamed pork buns, sesame bars, Vietnamese coffee, and sweet banana rice, are available along with sodas, candies and the usual mini-mart fare.
