An Oasis for Mind and Body: Expert Massage, Restful Atmosphere
by jrmayer
I've been going to Katy for massage for nearly six years now. From the moment you walk in, she creates an atmosphere of rest, peace, and relaxation. She's very intuitive about both mind and body -- and she also does a lot of listening and checking in, to see what's needed on a particular day, or for a particular person. Some days I feel very chatty during massage; some days, I just want peaceful silence. Katy's good about figuring out what it is I need (even when I don't always know myself) -- both in terms of atmosphere and massage technique.
I do a lot of weightlifting, which can make me tighten up uncomfortably. Katy is excellent at working out the inevitable knots. She's very strong (when the knots are bad) but is also gentle when they're tender.
The evening hours are great....the last thing I feel like doing is rushing out of work like a bat out of hell in order to hurry up and relax. Being able to schedule later appointments also means that I can schedule the massage as the last thing I do in my day, and extend the relaxation into the night.
- Pros: Relaxing atmosphere, responsiveness
Wonderful, personalized massages

In the seven years I've lived in the Bay Area I had never found a spa/massage therapist that I liked enough to return to. When I had my first massage with Jackie I immediately knew that this was the place, and have since also had great massages with Katie. If you're looking for a chi chi spa experience, you won't find it here, but you will find incredibly skilled, deeply personalized, and all around wonderful massages. Prices are very reasonable, and you will leave happy, I promise!
- Pros: The best massage therapists in SF
- Cons: Difficult to find parking in the neighborhood
Amazing!!!Worth every penny!

I have been to a number of massage therapists but it had been awhile. I usually check out Citysearch for reviews and I happend upon a fabulous review of Katy. I just went to see her tonight and have nothing but positive things to say. It has been a long time since I had a massage where I was actually able to relax and almost fall asleep. She has a great personality like someone I would be friends with and I immediately felt comfortable. She spent time trying to determine what was going on with my life that could effect my body and what the main purpose of my visit was to help get to the root of the problem. The atmosphere is relaxing and she is just amazing. I definately recommend seeing Katy.
Absolutely wonderful

I treat myself to a massage pretty much only once a year or two when I am feeling stressed. I researched massage therapists close to my area - Noe Valley - and came across Katy at A Piece of Peace. On paper she is a little pricey for my likings but the reviews of her were so great I decided to splurge. I have to say, it's worth every penny. Katy is absolutely wonderful at what she does. We spent a half hour before the massage just trying to figure out where I am physically, mentally, and emotionally. Everything we discussed was incorporated into othe massage. It was great. Definitely treat yourself to this wonderful person - I'm a physical therapistl, I should know!
- Pros: easy walk from Muni, great therapist

fast approaching my first-ever Ironman event, i needed a massage therapist i could trust with my body and emotions. katy didn't let me down. she asked what was going on, listened intently, set me up in her super-cozy & sunlit studio and proceeded to send my body and mind into a blissful neverland, only to return me gently with the sounds of chimes and tender encouragement for my event ahead...treat yourself to a massage with katy. you will thank yourself over & over again.
- Pros: clean, quiet, totally comfortable
Katy Simply is the Best
by julesholden
I had suffered for over 20 years from chronic neck and back pain. Before I met Katy Dreyfuss, I had been treated by dozens of bodyworkers from different disciplines. My pain has ceased almost entirely, since I started receiving bodywork from Katy. I can say from experience that Katy is unmatched in her healing touch and approach, and has an amazing gift to share. Letting Katy treat you will be the best thing you could ever do for yourself. It has been for me.
- Pros: Beautiful Space, Parking is Good, Comforting Presence
A body and mind altering experience:
by liza2005
I have been seeing Katy for over five years. Katy helped me get through law school and continues to keep me balanced as a civil rights lawyer through regular monthly sessions. Katy's practice is what I would call a true community service: She offers a rare combination of intuitive abilities and years of honed skills to provide an uncomparable healing, therapeutic and body altering experience. I recommend Katy without reservation to all my friends and colleagues. As a professional massage therapist, she is like a treasured sparkling gem with infinite facets to be appreciated only over time.
- Pros: Intuition, Strength, Sensitivity

Terrific space! Terrific massage! Terrific Katy!
by elyselyselyse
Katy and her space radiate warmth, compassion, and ease. Her massage and reflexology technique is superb and she shares her joy in life through her bodywork. She is also highly intuitive and uses this to guide her work -- inviting you as a client to truly let go and relax into the experience.
Massage for whatever you need
by elizlk
I've been seeing Katy regularly for over a year, and she's terrific. I've also had her give in-home massage to family, including my mother, who has serious back problems and chronic pain, and my bother, who'd never had a massage before. Feedback from all was terrific!
