Best of everything!. This is a true jewel among restaurants in SF! The Chef is a master of spices. The flavor of every dish was very well balanced but still had a nice exotic touch, very interesting for ones taste buds! The decoration on the ceiling and walls creates a very warm atmosphere. Staff is extremely attentative and friendly, they will explain everything to you, as there may be a few things that one may not be familiar with. Make sure you make a reservation. It is a must while in San Francisco!

Grrreat!. Located in the lobby of the Carlton Hotel where the wife and I were staying, we couldn't help but smell the wonderful aromas each night going up to our room. After a day of sightseeing we were too exhausted to leave the hotel so we thought, hey why not try Saha. We made an 8pm rez thru the Hotel and they sat us right away even though the place was pretty full. We started with a cabbage special that the waiter recommended, it was a cold appetizer that had rice, tomatoes, onions over a yogurt sauce...fantastic. So was the lamb and the vegan tofu special. If you crave unique middle eastern fusion food, go here, in fact stay upstairs the Hotel Carlton was pretty good as well.

Fusion Fantastic. I've been to this restaurant a few times for dinner and I always come away with a delighted palette. It really is fusion food and while some of the flavors and ingredients are common to Arabic food, it is more of its own thing than anything else. 95% of the dishes are complex, beautiful, and fresh and include a lot of local ingredients. The meats are cooked perfectly and the zaatar is good in any of the plates they serve it with. I was surprised to see the "free glass of champagne" note on this site. I've never been offered one... However, the staff are all very pleasant. If you order "S..p Yo Mama", be patient so they cook it well. It is a fab desert but the phillo was very undercooked when served to us. Don't ask for the explanation of the origins of the name...

Warm is the word that comes to mind when describing the food, the staff and the setting.. A wonderfully unique blend of deliciously prepared food and a warm welcoming staff in a comfortable romantic setting. Everything is slightly exotic. I really appreciate the delicate hand used to introduce a delightful array of herbs and spices. Nothing is too strong or over powering. The names of the dishes might be a little confusing but the descriptions are clear so that's how I order. Saha is one of a kind experience that you owe yourself.

Saha -- little gem in the Tenderloin. We went to Saha as part of a charity event, wanting someplace both romantic and new to both of us. We weren't disappointed. Saha has a lovely dining room with great lighting and a Moroccan sort-of theme. The food was delicious -- and we love small-plate dining and they had great variety in their small-plate menu. We were salivating just looking at the menu. We especially enjoyed the prawns in rosewater. They did a great job with fusion of fresh ingredients and mediterranean styles. The only downside is that we seemed to have been forgotten after receiving our meals (perhaps because of a large party at another table). However, the staff was so friendly and in general so attentive that they were quickly forgiven for their oversight. We can't wait to go back.

Outstanding. We split the foulel appetizer, a fava bean puree that included onion, tomato, garlic and peppers, served with warm pita bread - outstanding. i chose the Moroccan couscous with winter vegetables, spicy merguez sausages and a ramekin of cooking liquid and chile-infused harissa. My wife ordered the chicken breast marinated in orange juice, cinnamon, sage, honey and lime. It was initially pan seared and then gently roasted. Her entree was served over a couscous cake with an orange cinnamon sauce - fantastic flavors.

We will definitely go back!. My husband and I went to Saha with a few friends last week. It was the first time for all of us. We all loved it and couldn't stop talking about it! We ordered salads, small plates and desserts and shared everything. Every plate had delicious & interesting flavors. Portions were good for the price. The bill came to $30 pp (out the door - including tip)! We all ate very well that night. The service was very warm and friendly! We will definitely be patronizing this restaurant again!

Very disapointed...... Went before the Opera. Seated promptly and then came the strange food..... Our waiter added on things to our bill and upset my wife. NEVER AGAIN!! WOULD HAVE FOUGHT THE ISSUE, BUT WE HAD TO LEAVE FOR THE THEATRE.

FABULOUS !!!. By far the BEST PLACE I have dined at in a long time. This place is located in the premises of Hotel Carlton and has a small area. The ambience is perfect for a nice romantic dinner or a special occasion celebration.

Both the food and services are outstanding and they go above and beyond.

We were there on a Saturday night with a few friends. We had reservation, but since it was busy, the hostess provided drinks on the house and got us a table in a few minutes.

The food was heavenly. The sizes are usually small and the check comes to be a little heavy in the end. But its worth every penny. If you are famished, you may have to order a little extra than the usual.

We started with the herb soup and then got some small plates: Bastille which was phyllo wrapped around mixed chicken was awesome. So were the other plates- stuffed artichoke hearts, squash ravioli were fabulous. As for entrees, we had the saha red curry, couscous tower, veggie island and orange chicken were out of the world.

This place is definitely a standout and deserves compliments for the awesome food and service they provide. I would highly recommend this place and if you are in the area, you should never miss Saha!
