good selection of everyday jeans

This is a nice store with average/over priced jeans in my opinion. The staff is just there and not really killing you with kindness. Good selection of jeans and some options for accesories and tops.

Worst Customer Service experience in years

At first, I thought I thought I was scoring big with a cool-looking, convenient jeans bar in my neighborhood. They definitely have an interesting visual display and a great selection. Then, I purchased something there and it all went downhill. I purchased a pair of jeans - as a side note- when i check-out out, a sign read 20% off "apparel" which made me believe the jeans were on sale as jeans are apparel. Come to find out, the bright young things at the BJB do not consider jeans "apparel" even though the definition of apparel literally is 'clothing." But I digress. I brought my jeans home, wore my jeans for a few hours and they bagged out very unflatteringly. The same day, I brought them back for an exchange of a smaller size. They would not exchange, but told me I could email the buyer and see what I could do. After not hearing back from the buyer, I emailed J Brand jeans directly. They wrote me back within minutes saying to send them the jeans and they would send me the correct size- all while apologizing profusely for the bad customer service I received. Then, I received a reply from the buyer from BJB saying that they would do it this once...so I took the jeans back that afternoon and was told that I had to show proof- they literally didn't believe me that I had approval for an exchange. I showed them the email on my blackberry, and then the manager begrudgingly looked for the correct size. Then she looked at me, I swear with a smirk, and told me they did not have my size..and that they could call me "if they ever got in a new shipment of this particular pair..." I asked her to place a special order for the jeans and was told "we don't special order." I will never shop there again and stress that anyone who enjoys good customer service shouldn't either.

The best denim shopping experience in the world and AMAZING customer service

I have been known to walk into Nordstroms and try on one of every style jeans they offer, and still walk out with nothing. Feeling frustrated and being reduced to wearing Gap jeans, I walked into Blue Jeans bar as my last hope to find a pair of designer jeans that would look flattering on my body. I first noticed the selection of jeans spread out upon the wooden bar. I explained to the knowledgeable girl behind the counter my "large booty small waist" problem. She sent me upstairs to try on about 7 pairs which she was convinced would work for me. SUCCESS!!!! I wanted at least 5 of them. Which is okay because they have a frequent buyer program- buy 5 get the 6th pair FREE! I will never go any place else to look for jeans. I only wish this store also sold swimsuits!

HAPPY HOUR and JEANS!!

This place is one of a kind. Great selection of merchandise and experienced, friendly staff. They have happy hours on Fridays, all the jeans are 10% off while you sip on beer and wine. Another good perk is a frequent buyer card- after you buy 5 pairs of jeans the 6th pair is free. I go to the Jean Bar every time I need a new pair, and I rarely leave without a purchase.

Hit or Miss

This place is hot or miss - both in terms of service and selection. Service - the associates here are YOUNG. Sometimes they're very attentive and helpful and they can give honest opinions about how jeans look which is so so so rare and which I LOVE. Sometimes they act like they couldn't care less if your hair was on fire (this past Sunday a salesgirl would not get off a personal call to answer my question - what?? what??) Selection: Sometimes the stuff is too embroidered/expensive or trendy ... bordering on just plain silly. Like Taylor below says, call ahead to make sure they have something you'll be interested in before searching for parking. For ex, I like Blue Cult and they almost NEVER have anything in my size.

• Cons: hit or miss service, attitude, hit or miss selection

Hit or Miss

My boyfriend and I have shopped at this store many times and find it very inconsistent. Customer service is outstanding, the staff will take their time to help you find a perfect pair of jeans... if they have what you're looking for. The buyers seem young and unexperienced as the store is often out of popular styles or sizes. Call to make sure they have what you want before you waste your time looking for parking on Union street!

I can't say one bad thing!

I really appreciated how they gave an honest opinion about how I looked. The selection was far beyond what I could have imagined. I left with the PERFECT pair of jeans due to their help and feel great in them!

great jeans no service

despite that i did walk in and there was the owner and helper and no one shopping....

they did not respond to any questions without," and anyways" in every ending sentence immmature staff- great selection- weird window display....

not snobbish- just plain spoiled... if i was in there with an urge to purchase jeans today, they were more concerned with their own purchases from some other venue and well the prada bag full of dry cleaning was just more important...

i love to spend money on great jeans -- that they do have.... but then again i am not in los angeles ... and i sure dont care for anyone there.....

i would rather get high and shop on haight at villains vault.. than deal with snots.

Fabulous store and amazing service

As a self-professed "jeanaholic", this place is a denim lovers paradise! The Blues oozes hipness from the sleek bar, the endless selection of denim and accessories, to the friendly, attractive, and gregarious employees. I have searched hi and low for the perfect pair of jeans, and found a plethora of designers and styles at the Blues the instant I walked in the door. I can't imagine shopping for denim anywhere else. Period.

Cool store but... one sales associate ...

I loved the store, it was great for a person like me addicted to jeans. But there was one girl there who annoyed me. She didnt even take the time to have her jeans altered, she had them folded up(they looked awful!!) and had on huge platform flip flops to try to cover up that they were way too long. If you are going to work and sale denim to others shouldnt you atleast know how to wear it yourself? Hello! She was a little airheaded too which didnt help.
