Inconsistent service

I've been a patron of Lush for about a year, but I've finally decided it's time to move on. If you walk into Lush Life Nail Bar, you'll immediately notice the cute girly decor. However, the service at Lush is inconsistent. The setting is great for parties, yet, when I decided to have part of my birthday celebration there, they ended up sitting one of my friends on the completely opposite side of the room from the rest of us. Also, if you plan to get a manicure or pedicure and they're expecting a party later, then you should expect your manicure/pedicure to be rushed. When I went to get a manicure two weeks ago the lady didn't even soak my fingers or cut my cuticles. I think it took her all of 15 minutes to do my nails--not very relaxing and my manicure started to chip six days later. Also, if you like nail art, don?t bother going here.

• Pros: pricing is reasonable, the decor is cute, cleanliness, Chanel/Opi nail polish
• Cons: don?t bother to book an appointment unless it?s the morning and business is slow, french manicures, parking is challenging, staff could be more welcoming

One of the best Nail Salon in SF

so it is the 6th day since I've gotten a mani n pedi and no joke there was not a chip in sight!! I was so amazed to see it myself. usually by the third day my nails would've chipped or at least scratched somewhat but this place is amazing!! whatever they put on my nails works really well!! I love..love this place!! and you know what else? they offer Chanel Nail polish collection and the price is decent! seriously they are not overpriced at all. I got a basic manicure and upgrade pedicure that includes the honey and milk scrub that cost me $51!!! the smell of the honey and milk scrub was really good and the place is cute and modern...what else are you guys waiting for??? book an appointment and trust me you won't be disappointed! ohh one more thing the receptionist was really friendly and patient. she was being so nice over the phone when I got lost and you know great customer service is really hard to find!

great place to throw a bridal shower

I threw my friend a bridal shower here. They are so accommodating. I got an email from Scott the minute I booked the place. They helped me set up all the food and drinks...and even pulled out wine glasses. Everyone LOVED all of the services they provided. I highly recommend this place.

Best Ever!!!

I have been to many nail salons before and Lush Life is the BEST ever! Every single time I get my nails done at Lush Life my nails look perfect and and the polish never chips. My service is always great and everyone is nice and I am never rushed. I love that the manicurists open their tools right in front of me, so then I know that they are using clean tools on my nails. If you have the chance to go to Luch Life Nail Bar definetly go it is the BEST EVER!!!!!!!!!!

Best manicure in San Francisco!

I'm writing this review to help all my loveable sisters living in the San Francisco Bay Area. If you get your nails done once a week, then I envy you. If you get them done every other week, then I still envy you. Me? I get mine done whenever I'm feeling lucky. These days I feel lucky about once a month. A fresh mani for me, then, is a very happy thing. Only problem is that happiness doesn't seem to last very long. I'm a fitness professional (personal trainer, yoga instructor, etc.) so for me a typical manicure begins to crumble and chip somewhere near the end of the second day. I always look down in sadness the moment I discover that first chip, thinking "What the hell girl? Can't you ever stay a lady for more than two days?"

So Today I'm writing about my nails because finally I've made it past 48 hours without a chip, a scratch, a nick or a ding. Today in fact marks day seven. That's right, SEVEN! And to tell you the truth these nails look just as beautiful as the day I left Lush Life Nail Bar a week ago. Not only did they do a beautiful job on my nails, but the atmosphere there was very pleasant. They only use fresh, sealed, sterile tools and environmentally friendly chemicals. I felt very welcome there, and look forward to my next visit. Although at this point with my nails lasting so long, I'm rather curious as to just when that next visit might be...?

avoid!!!

i had a horrible experience there. i was on citysearch and saw the place and thought it would be cute and all. But it turned out to be a pretty bad experience. Because there was a large group coming in after us, we were very rushed by them. I went back a few hours later because my nails were starting to chipped. And after the second time, they still chipped the next day and not all of the nail polish covers the nail. The lady even asked me for a tip. We were there for my friend's birthday treat and it turned out to be a nightmare.

Great place to have a party

I heard good reviews from a friend about Lush Life Nail Bar and so I decided to grab a group of friends and give it a try; and I needless to say I wasnt disappointed. Ive never received a better manicure. Usually my nail polish chips within five days, but its now been two weeks and my manicure is still in great condition. They have lots of nice nail polishes to choose from. I went with Chanel. This is a great place to hold a birthday party or before starting a girls night out on the town. You can bring champagne and appetizers to enjoy while youre getting your manicure or pedicure. Although you can just walk in, I would recommend making an appointment as the place was busy before we got there and remained so even after we left.

• Pros: evening appointments available, great place to have a party
• Cons: very busy--my appointment didn't begin on time

bad manicures

I usually go here and love the pedicures but have been consistently disappointmed with my manicures. my polish chipped off in just a couple of days. i went back to get it fixed and the french tips look horrible and i just couldn't take it anymore and took it off again when i got home. maybe it was because i went in to get the nails fixed for free - as advertised - but the work was not impressive at all and i had paint left all over my fingers and under the nails.

Drinking while getting mediocre overpriced services - fun!

Such a great idea and sooo much potential!! Great ambience and the perfect location to start any "girls' night." Downside - the mani-pedis are overpriced and mediocre. But where else can you get pampered while drinking wine? Pretty much any mani-pedi place in town, call 'em up - they just don't advertise it. Competitiors' downside - ambience.

Don't get waxed here.

I came in for a full leg wax with a friend. The lady did a very rushed job despite the fact it was scheduled for an hour. She only took 30 minutes. She missed entire patches of hair, gave me large red patches on my skin (broken capillaries?) and in many places broke the hair off instead of pulling it out from the root. 3 days after the waxing I had stubble. I've gotten full leg waxes many times and never had a waxing as poor as this. The small room is not well sheltered from the rest of the shop, which matters when the waxer leaves in the middle to complain about the upstairs neighbors. It's also too hot in the room. My friend experienced the same poor waxing -- missed spots, broken cappillaries and stubble 3 days after waxing. All this for only $65 each.
