Great Location

Considering what other hotels charge for rooms and parking, the San Francisco Central Travelodge was a bargain and a half! The large parking lot provided ample space for parking. This is irregular for hotels with car ports in San Francisco, as most are usually congested and cramped. Checking in and out took only a matter of minutes and the clerks at the front desk were quite responsive to my interrogation of places to visit, dine, shop, etc in the city. One major pro to this hotel was its location. Being in the Castro, with the Mission neighborhood only a few blocks away, and walking distance to Union Square, this hotel put me right in the heart of the city. Taking the trolley, which starts practically in front of the hotel, got me to Fishermans Wharf in less than twenty minutes! On a side note, the Mission is home to the FINEST Mexican cuisine. Make sure to try a burrito at Pancho Villa, a local tacqueria. This was a great place to stay.
