Sara Rankin has been a godsend to me. I began seeing Sara almost a year ago at a time when I was anxious, depressed & incredibly irritable. I was sleeping way too much and often had night sweats. I decided that I would try talking therapy, hypnotherapy and massage all at the same time. I dropped all the other treatments after just a few sessions. Immediately after the first session with Sara, I felt more peaceful than I'd felt in a year. That evening I noticed (with some suprise), I had patience for little things that used to drive me nuts. Within a couple of weeks, my sleep improved and my night sweats became rare. Before seeing Sara, I seemed to be in a battle of wills with my son. Almost immediately, we started getting along better and our relationship has improved dramatically over the last year. I feel that I have become a better Dad and a better husband because I have more patience and compassion now. I have tried many other techniques and treatments for my moods, but Sara's acupuncture is the only thing that consistently works. It has also given me a much more subtle appreciation for when I'm slipping "out of alignment" and need help. I can't tell you what a relief it is to know that when I start to feel bad, I have someone who can always help me get back on track. Sara's style is warm, thoughtful and thorough. From one session to the next she remembers not just what's going on with my "condition," but also what's going on in my life. She takes the time in each session to make sure I'm getting what I need at that specific moment. She also has a great sense of humor. At most of my sessions, I feel so relaxed that I drift off into a pleasant, refreshing nap listening to some of her great music. I have recommended Sara to my father (who still talks about her), my sister, (who's become a regular) several friends and two co-workers. And now I'm recommending her to YOU! :-)

Sara is great, very calm, attentive and thorough. I went to her for over all anxiety which has been a big problem for years – and I’ve tried everything from medication to meditation with little avail. After just one visit to Sara I was amazed at the huge decrease in my overall anxiety level. I'm definitely looking forward to going back.

I started seeing Sara a few months ago a very stressful tim of my life, there was so much anxiety I can't sleep, can't eat and a firend send me to see Sara. I've had done acupuncture before and never like it , but Sara was very gentle and let me know everything she was doing. She took time to talk to me about what she felt on my wrist pulse. I have been taking herbs and supplements she suggested and with my acupuncture sessions, now I feel better. My sleeps are sound, my energies are up.

I have used Sara Rankin of Alma Acupuncture for pain control, stress reduction and facial rejuvenation and every one of her treatments has provided the results I wanted. Sara is professional, caring and she knows what she's doing.

Sara is very caring and gentle. She has a very nurturing approach that makes you feel listened to. Her acupuncture treatments are wonderful and I always leave feeling calmer and pain free.
Pros: nice office, free street parking, great health care
Cons: occas. hard to park, tx lasts over 1 hr
