im hooked.

this was my first time mist tanning and now im hooked. my over all experience at cocos was great. its in a nice neighborhood and it has easy parking. The girl working was great, very down to earth and helpful. i would recomend it.

FED UP!

I am so fed up with this place. I've tried on three separate occassions to book an appointment. The first two times, I called and left messages but didn't receive a response. So I went to the salon and there was a note on the door saying that they were closed for maintainence. Now, wouldn't you think they would be smart enough to leave a message on their RECORDER that they were closed for the day? Obviously, not. The third time, I was in the area and in desperate need of a tan. I called at 10:10am (they open at 10am) and I left a message. After waiting in my car outside for 20 minutes for a call back, I decided to go by the salon to see if they were open. They were not, but there was no message stating when they were going to open. They still have not called back. If I didn't buy a stupid package from this stupid salon, I wouldn't come back. Needless to say, I will definitely not be purchasing another package from this place anymore. I don't know how this place stays in business if they have such unreliable staff. Oh, and I agree with the last reader's comment...the workers there are not "hot." If anything, they're annoying when they start taking personal calls and think that you can't hear from behind the curtain. I generally don't like to badmouth businesses, but come on...this is the third time I've had a disappointing experience and I'm just frustrated and FED UP! Get your act together people.

Uncomfortable & Dishonest

they have made fake accounts to give themselves all of these "rave reviews". they even talked badly about their competitors. it was kind of funny how most of their fake reviews included how the receptionists are hot... ha! i should have paid a cheap 3$ tanning salon for the experience i had.

No privacy, awful experience...

Basically this place is a 12x13 space. There's a tanning booth on one corner and the receiptionist desk on the adjacent corner. The only thing that separates both parties is a brown curtain/drapery. No privacy! This place don't provide footcovers, so you're basically standing on two papertowels which is not very effective, when you have to pose in four different positions. who has time to make sure their standing on the papertowels when the spritzer is coming at you within seconds? just don't make sense! My experience was not the greatest because my skin is so fair/light, the color didn't come out. Just a hint...literally! It was a waste of money.

• Cons: No privacy, receiptionist was not helpful, color don't work for light/fair skin

I am a fan!

COCO is great. I had never been to a mist tanning salon before coming to COCO. The staff made me very comfortable and was very knowledgeable about the mist tanning process. They made it very clear to me how to get the best results. And it worked. I got many compliments and had an even, dark tan. I will go back to COCO and recommend it highly to first timers as well as regulars!

a whole new man

let me start by saying that i am white. not your run of the mill caucasian, but pasty white. i fear the sun and its harsh uv rays. after attending a session at coco, i no longer am referred to as the pasty gangster. their attentive staff, clean facilities, and overall value rival any other sunless tanning salon in the bay area. i now can walk the beach without worrying that others will look away. some have even said that i am a better dancer. thank you, coco. thank you.

coco beware

i tan about once a week and have hit most of the tanning salons in the city, but coco has some of the best tanning booths in san fran by far. the paint really gets into the cracks and crevasses that most mist tanners miss. the staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is really chill. looking forward to going back again and again.
