honey tanning

I received very detailed instructions on how to get the best tan. My color was far more believable that from any other tanning I've done. Thesalon is conveniently located on Union Street...I even got a parking space across the street on a Friday evening! A good experience.

• Pros: my tan was very even and a believable color
• Cons: spray booth is loud and cold

Great first time!

I had never been tanning before and had a great experience here. I went to Honey Tanning on a recommendation of a co-worker. Not being from SF, I was afraid the parking situation would be awful, but I found parking two doors down! Sweet!

My appointment was at the end of the day, so I figured they would probably run through the process quickly, but the gentleman who helped me took me through each step. I truly felt like he wanted it to come out right too (it could have been my glowing white skin that he felt sorry for.)

After he showed me how it worked and went through the different positions numerous times for me, I changed. While I was changing I was impressed by all the amenities they had. I had a place to put all my accessories and my clothes. It felt very warm and inviting.

When I was done I figured I would just say thank you and leave. But the gentleman came over and helped me with some of the parts I had missed (I would have never known I missed them until the next day.) I thought this showed great customer service and I really appreciated it.

I would recommend Honey Tanning to any new tanner or someone looking for a new place to tan.

easy and affordable

The salon has a nice lay out and visually appealing. I come here a lot because it is so easy and affordable.

I'm no amateur tanner. The booth application OK; a little uneven and orange-y, but a little of that is to be expected with these procedures. Everyone always thinks is natural. Love this when you don?t have time to get to the beach and it?s a lot healthier for you too. They always fit me in even when I call at the last minute!

only had great experiences

I've tanned at Honey several times now; after trying 2-3 places this is the only place I go. The intial instruction they gave me was so detailed and helpful, their space is lovely and most importantly where you tan is nice and private! The people I've dealt with there have always been friendly and gracious (I think the owner there is Todd - he is sweet and cute!). This is the only place to go for spray tanning in my book. And for the record, I neither work nor live near there but it's always worth the trip.

owner yells at customers

Girls, This was the worst experience that i have ever had at salon. First of all when you call on the phone they don't not go over the 24 hour cancellation policy. How are we supposed to know . there is noting listed on city search that there is a fee. The owner was rude to me and yell and verbal abuse me on the phone. He hang up on me and would not let me get in a word. I have never been treated this way. Who is the customer here me. Awful and horrible customer service. I would not recommend any to support someone who does not know how to treat there customers. I m shock that they have gotten away with treating people this way. It is there responsibility to tell you over the phone if there is a cancellation fee. In reality we don't have the spa menu in front of us when we are making a phone call. Please don't support a business that take advantage of people.

Awesome service and results

Oh my god, great tanning experience! I'm a SoCal girl, so I know a good one when I see it. Almost everything about Honey was great. One of the owners scheduled my appointment, gave me the low down on pre tanning tips. Once I got there the parking took me about 10 minutes (that was the only part I wasn't prepared for... I'm from OC, we have parking lots). Anyway, the building is this totally cute old Victorian. The people were all really nice there.

I needed to look good for my man in my little green dress. And Honey came through. The results were hott! A+ Just make sure to call ahead (they're appointment only), and plan on spending 10ish minutes to find parking. Def worth the effort.

Best tan in SF!

I have been going to Honey Tanning for over a year every week and love this place! The first time I went I was nervous that the color might look unnatural and too orange. This is not the case, my tan comes out natural looking and even every time. The owner really takes the time to explain the steps to ensure that you get a great looking tan. I have tried other spray tans and this is truly the best place in town. If you want a great tan I would highly recommend going to Honey Tanning.

Honey Tanning is clean, beautiful and the owner Todd is a really nice guy! If you don't want to deal with abrasive skin damaging rays from a tanning bed and want a great glow for that special event or simply to pick up your mood then this is the place to go! Awsome job!
