I have been going to James for a few years now and he has allways helped me with my hair, even to re-evaluate my style. With amazing cuts and coloring, I can't wait to go back again. Curly Hair Savior

I recently moved back to the Bay area after a nasty back injury and was in serious need of a hair makeover. My hair was, well, damaged and blah. Curly, frizzy and back to that horrible mousy brown. That's when I found Halo. James made me feel like a new woman. He really listened to what I wanted and gave me a new look that has been growing out beautifully!!! Everyone has noticed and they all say that I look like a superstar...I feel like one too ;-) When I was still in New York I would go to Deva Curl hair salons and use their products...which I loved, despite the high prices. I am so excited that I found James. Not only does my new cut rock straight or curly, the technique he used for highlighting looks dramatic and natural at the same time. Plus! (yes, it even get's better) the prices at Halo were great and I was able to pick up my favorite Deva Curl products! I really can't rave enough about this charming salon. The atmosphere, service and prices were all fantastic. I highly recommend anyone checking Halo out, especially those who want to make a change and feel GREAT!!!!!

Halo Rocks!

Jennifer is the bomb! I moved here a year ago, and after trying a few other salons (and always being disappointed) I was lucky enough to find Halo. Jennifer's cuts and color are the BEST I've ever had, and that's an understatement.

5 Stars to Kendra!!!!!

Thank you Kendra for a fabulous cut! I just had to write a review since this is this is the best hair style I have ever had. I get compliments all the time now. Kendra took the time to listen and really evaluate my hair. She then suggested a style that would work well for my hair type. I am so glad I took her suggestion. My hair is so much easier to manage and looks great in between visits to the salon!

Devoted to Halo--recommend it highly!

I wasn't planning on writing a review, but I was so shocked by the one negative review... Of course the salon smells like hair chemicals, just like any other salon! Yes, the shop is small, which makes it quiet and cozy and you get lots of personalized attention. Why would anyone want a huge salon? What, the more chairs, the better your haircut? The decor and ambiance is wonderful at Halo! I love it. Perfect haircuts, perfect highlights, every time. I've been to many expensive, chic salons in the city, but I prefer to drive out to Halo. Both owners are professional, kind, friendly, funny, always listen and do exactly as asked, take tons of care and time with each cut, and are extremely talented and experienced. It's a relaxing, elegant ,serene little haven.(note: great place to come if you have or like dogs; not great if you are allergic.)

Are You Kidding!?!

I chose Halo after checking Citysearch ratings and made an appt. for a bangs trim; I was going out of town and needed a quick appt. The salon is tiny and smells like hair chemicals, the owner/stylist was walking around with her hair up in foils, the place was sloppy & junky looking. All I wanted was a basic bangs trim - she cut them deep and wide with a clip, clip, clip of her scissors. I've been growing them out ever since. What a dump! What a nightmare!

Always a great experience

James and his staff are always a pleasure to be around - and he gives a GREAT cut! I get compliments all the time about my hair. The best thing is how nicely my hair grows out... it continues to look great for months.

Halo Rocks!!

Let's face it, I'm a really picky gent when it comes to my hair. I value a consistently great cut and service with a smile. Obviously, here in the Bay Area, I have lots of options. There is a reason why I wouldn't go anywhere other than Halo to see James and Hilary. James has done an amazing job at providing stylish cuts that walk the line between edgy and professional.. I would send all of my friends there. Don't trust me on this one, check it out for yourself.. Cheers!
