I agree with the other reviews. This is a horrible excuse for a dog day care. There is no "care" in this place, to say the least. The people were rude and did not care the least bit about my dog. I would recommend keeping your dog home during the day and hiring a dog-walker. At $20 dollars a day for a dog-walker, it's cheaper than putting your dog in a cement cell block.

Our two dogs came home with Kennel Cough. As you know, that is highly contagious among dogs. When we contacted the owners, he said he did not care, it was not his problem and was exremely rude. It is his problem if dogs are coming out with kennel cough. There are too many dogs in a small building with no outdoor area and poor ventilation. Do not bring your dog here.

This place had awful customer service and the tiny, cement room was overpacked with dogs. I was very disappointed with the smelly, dirty area. I did not feel that they paid any attention to my dog, because it was so overbooked with other dogs.

My Siberian Husky always comes back exhausted from Fog City. One of the places I truly trust with my dog and I've tried at least 5 other ones in the city. They're very conscientious about the dogs and a caring staff who knows my dog on a first name basis is always a plus.
Pros: Reliable. Trustworthy.
Cons: Can't think of any.

I've been taking my dog here twice a week for about a year. She comes UNGLUED with excitement whenever we drive up to the building, which is all the endorsement I need. There has been some turnover with the staff, which I think is to be expected, but I've never had an unpleasant experience with anyone, so I must disagree with the negative review. A few of the staff (the younger ones) seem a bit blase at times, but I don't take any of this personally or as a sign they aren't caring for the dogs. This place is a lifesaver for me. I just wish they were open on weekends.
Pros: pricey

We live close by and have had positive experiences leaving our two goldens once a week for 3 years. The negative review rings false to me -- they won't accept your dog without an in-depth interview and evaluation before you leave him/her, so there's no way they would not acknowledge the dog. The staff is enthusiastic, polite, and dog-loving. I have seen them walking groups of dogs near our house also, and they treat them well.
Pros: Caring staff, Will bathe dogs, Open 7 till 7
Cons: Parking, Busy street, No weekends

The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's also a great place for your dog/puppy to become socialized. Ever since we started bring our puppy Lab there, he's been better behaved and has improved on the seperation anxiety as well, but the thing I like most is the webcam. It's reassuring to be able to see what your dog is up to while you're at work.
Pros: Webcam, Pick-up/Drop-off, Good customer service
Cons: Smells sort of weird, lack of parking

My dog and I have had nothing but the most wonderful experiences with Fog City Dogs at both their Lombard day facility and the boarding facility in Bernal Heights. The best part is that they screen dogs so that the mean ones are weeded-out. While all dogs have their place, not all are socialized enough to be with my baby. So Fog City Dogs is easily the best choice in the city for us. The previous post says they were rude. In two years I've never seen that. That post sounds fishy to me.
Pros: friendly staff, dog screening, webcam
Cons: closes at 7PM, cost
