Poor, poor service!

by keikoleigh at Citysearch

Poor, poor service! The staff was rude beyond compare! Not snobby, I expect a certain air of snobby for a downtown establishment, but this is above and beyond! I had a problem with my facial. I received the wrong type. The whole time I was asking why the scent smelled like citrus, but the person just told me to relax and essentially SHUT UP! I told the supervisor when I was done and she said she would give me a gift certificate for a future visit, but I didn't want to return again. She told me she already charged my credit card and there was nothing she could do. Sad, unprofessional service. Go elsewhere!

Five Stars for LaBelle

by curlymetropolitangirl at Citysearch

Highly recommend this place!!! Not only it is classy and exquisite, the staff is great, very pleasant and well trained. I had the BEST massage ever (with Alexandria), I was so relaxed that I asked if I could have my hair done. I had a consultation about my hair, I end up with a new hair cut that I love and I have to say, I am very impress (Capri did my hair). After so many years LaBelle is still the place to go. If you have not been there lately, go check it out. A real Five star place!!!

mediocre airbrush tanning

by febriani28 at Citysearch

I decided to try out their airbrush tanning service since it was voted the best by In Style Magazine and it was not great. The place itself was very cute and modern but my tan # 2 did not show at all. I did not look dark and she missed a few spots like my underarms, my calves and my inner thighs. It was not that bad but paying $45 for it was definitely not worth it. They do give a do-over though but why would I want to go back to the same place that gave me an uneven tan? so maybe this place offers other good services but definitely not an airbrush tan. by the way, they did spray them in a dim lighted room so maybe that's why the girl could not spray the color evenly. I am definitely not going back.

  • Pros: cute place
  • Cons: bad parking and overpriced

Love the Spa, NOT THE SALON

by amandamc09 at Citysearch

I often go to the salon at Stanford, but this was my first time coming to the salon in the city. The woman who did my hair seemed nice. I asked for a root brightener which she did 2 shades lighter than the rest of my highlights and then to 'blend them' she put in highlights which I did not ask for but just assumed it was routine as she did not tell me they cost 160$. At the end I was left with my hair worse off than before and a bill of $$210!!! I do not reccommend the hair salon, but I love the other services!

  • Pros: Great environment, Take good care of clients
  • Cons: Hair salon is not worth the money!!, no parking

Massage was awesome

by jeanmcarty at Citysearch

My honey and I sampled some massage here the other day.. gotta try CC... you will love it...!! I wish they served some wine or champagne however. Otherwise, I would have to say that this was the massage of my life, My husband thought highly of his therapist as well, we can not remember her name but it was wonderful. Afterwards, we had a delightful walk around chinatown .. hand in hand and very satisfied!

  • Pros: therapist was highly skilled and adorable in nature
  • Cons: I thought that it would be nice to have a glass of wine or champagne since it was a sunday! and we were celebrating

a very average day spa

by charlenav at Citysearch

totally overpriced and not worth it. the staff is snobby, and my massage was really lackluster. the lady giving me my manicure was rude and chastized me for the sad condition of my toes.

my hair cut was pretty wonderful, not enough to make up for the dissapointment of my expensive spa day. the only other nice part was the free cheese and crackers in between treatments.

Great fireplace lounge, snacks, and vanity amenities!!!

by bien904 at Citysearch

I love this place! People at front desk were nice, and the whole process was very customer oriented and very serviceable. I have a facial w/ microderm + oxygen during spa week, and it was great!!! My skin was eleviated from dullness and it just brightens. Great treatment at a great deal. But I will definitely come back becuase my first impression of the spa is greatly exceeded. The spa is huge... with fireplace lounge/waiting area + snacks of crackers, cheese, and fruits. This is good for a small girl party (which is what I had). Every one of my friends loved it (everyone's first time here..... they say massages were good/average). Nicely decorated and clean. Bathroom includes showers, lockers, all vanity amenities like hair pins, mousse, q-tips, combs, etc.

Definitly a 10+ rating and highly recommended!

  • Pros: fireplace lounge + snacks, vanity extras, facials
  • Cons: Parking
