Hidden Treasure in San Francisco

To anyone who has had a negative experience at Brown Sugar I suggest you call the owner and talk to her. Give her a chance to make it right! I don't have the greatest body because I could stand to lose 20 lbs which I can't because I have a thyroid problem. Was I uncomfortable the first time? Yes I was. Am I OK getting naked so I can have a gorgeous tan? I am now! Thanks Brown Sugar.

Horrible

Maybe if the service was better I would have given it higher ratings, but my friends and I have all come to the same conclusion, that brown sugar is definately not the best place to get a spray tan.

Every time I have come in the girl is always late, leaving me standing in a narrow hall with no where to sit. The rooms are messy. The tan is so-so. and it is very pricey for what little it does. Not to mention they never pick up their phone, so it just adds to the fact that when I do finally get an appointment in the morning the girl is constantly late.

If you want consistency and actual good customer service, go somewhere else.

Best Sunless Tan I've ever had!

Whenever I visit San Francisco, I always make sure I get a litte"brown sugar". I have never been so at ease in such a personal setting. The girl that sprayed me was so professional and explained everything to me. She also happened to be the owner! I will never go back to mystic or sunbed tanning. They also sell great products and know their products. They are the Best!

My favorite tanning place in California

I don't tan easily and I have become a savant at all fake-tan products and Brown sugar not only gives the best color (BROWN!!) but the positions they give you when you go in the machine ensure a really even look. I love the atmosphere because it's casual and fun, the smell is a little overpowering but you get over it.

If you have an event to go to and you're worried about looking yellow or orange if you do it the day of, Brown Sugar is the place to go. You'll never get that weird color.

Also, they say take a shower in a few hours, but i always just sleep on it and shower the next morning and then i look super tan! But either way it's awesome!

• Pros: great location, best color i've ever had from a fake tan!
• Cons: a little pricey

Brown Sugar : sweet tan not so sweet atmosphere

This place looks like some high-school kids opened up a spa in their apartment.

The tan, does however look quite real. Make sure to 'buff' afterwards otherwise you will end up poka-dotted

What a Difference

I was so excited to try out Brown Sugar and was even more excited once I saw the results from my great tan! I had tried other spray tans, but I had heard Brown Sugar was different. I was more than pleased with the service I received there. The staff was very friendly and informative. They took the time to explain the diffence between their Mist-on equipment and other machines on the market. The results were much more even, and the color looked more natural. Thanks Brown Sugar!

Best tan in SF!!

I tried Brown Sugar after having gone to another spray tan place in the City. The difference was like night & day. Brown Sugar is twice as big, has a friendly staff, a video which illustrates the process, and a spacious, private tanning room.

My compliments to Tracy. She guided me through the entire process. Even though it was during a very busy time. She knew every customer by name and personally helped whenever someone had a question. Overall, GREAT customer service. I will go back to Brown Sugar just for the experience.

Plus, the tan came out great.

Just as good as the real thing!

I love Brown Sugar! Being a person that never goes in the sun, I had resided to the fact that Pale, in my case, would just have to be beautiful!! Until I discovered Brown Sugar!! Now a regular, I love the whole tanning experience, I wear much more fashionable, slightly revealing clothing and I feel healthier! The staff at Brown Sugar are wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The salon itself is adorable and I highly recommend Brown Sugar to anyone wanting a healthy glow any time of the year!!!

Get your Brown Sugar on!

I decided to try spray tanning because ALL my friends have been raving about Brown Sugar since it opened last year.

The results were amazing. I attended my Holiday party and received numerous compliments.

I highly recommend Brown Sugar. The two women that assisted me are very knowledgeable, friendly and customer focused.
