MILK is super small, but the music and crowds are always good. special events guarantee a full house, but it's never more than like $5 to get in and drinks are pretty good.

This is a great club and they always have special events on weekdays. It's a small narrow place but you'd be suprised how many people can fit. The bathroom location sucks because its right across the bar so on busy nights... GOOD LUCK!

In Short
A DJ typically sets the pace from an elevated, patio-like stand. On the right, white booths sit beneath a collection of oversized, rotating art. A mirror-backed bar reflects these booths from the other side of the room and plays host to stylish 20-somethings exchanging lively chatter. On a regular night, a curtain flanks the back dance area, bordered by tall tables and stools. Thanks to high ceilings, the narrow venue seems spacious even when it's crowded.

Milk is a casual little venue. It's small and usually packed. Lots of regulars go here and they keep coming back because it's a cool place. The dance floor is small though, the whole venue is small. The vibe and music makes up for it though. It's not a place I'd go all the time, but I liked it there the 2 times I went.

Milk delivers a bad ass dance/dj experience....one of the best place to tie one on and shake the booty to the breaka!

I don't get out much. I work at home. I work alot. Life is rough. I like Hip Hop. I'm male and straight, I like to drink and get wild. I like girls. I live in the city. Like I said, life is rough. I don't have anything against the gay scene, so don't get the wrong idea. I'm flattered when a handsome boy gives me his phone number, but it's just not my thing.

What does this have to do with Milk? Everything. When I was there, it was hot, sticky, organic. Seemlingly 1000's of hot, sweaty attractive-straight people packed into a small dark room with loud, banging old-school hip-hop. Lots of grinding, good drinks, good fun. Everything a club scene should be when I finally do get a chance to go out. Milk is the place.

  • Pros: good music, good drinks, good looks
  • Cons: can seem small

This is a great dance place in an otherwise bar-centric area. I went on Sunday (yes, some places rock on Sundays!) with 8-ish friends, got there early, and stayed all night.

The front area (with the main bar) has some nice seated tables with a nice, entire wall mural. You could definitely carry on a conversation. Staff was friendly, particularly for a dance club. The back room has a DJ, dance floor, a small bar, and mini tables. It's a good-sized dance floor for a bar/club venue. Music was very dance-able (old school).

Place got busy, but not sardine-packed crowded, and had a friendly clientele, so you could easily dance and get to the bar/bathroom.

One down side (which the owner(?) said he'd change) is that there's no credit card machine in the backroom bar. Good to know when you're buying rounds of drinks.

  • Pros: Roomy (on Sunday), Friendly staff
  • Cons: No CC at back bar

Great atmosphere, very cool eclectic mix of people, but I was expecting them to play more hip hop music. Although other nights, may be more hip hop centric, Friday nights don't seem to be. There were 2, maybe 3 hip hop songs played.....let's just put it this way, we left when they played "Mony Mony" (the original version).
