I had been to this restaurant quite a few times and even had food delivered & considered all aspects of the earlier 2007 restaurant to be above average. It was one of those "great finds" that you love to take people to. Unfortunately, sometime in fall, they changed ownership, management & worse, the chef. I was assured the food was the same and the menu only slightly changed, however it was too much of a change and the quality suffered as well. I was very disappointed. The earlier reviews that had high marks were all true. Unfortunately, the previous customer was true as well.

Cons: End of 2007 New management, new chef & results went from excellent to poor.

The restaurant appeared clean but I must admit I was rather concerned when I walked in during dinner hours, on a Friday night, to find a single customer eating inside the restaurant. As they were bringing out my food 4 or 5 people walked in, halfway into the restaurant, turned around and walked back out. I'm just hoping they didn't see something I missed that made them turn around and walk out after only seconds... maybe they were thinking the same thing I was when I walked in (re: the lack of customers). The staff was friendly and the gentleman informed me they deliver, for free, on any order over $20.00 and if you order $50.00 or more they give you a Chinese Chicken Salad (I believe) for free. He mentioned how customers boasted about the salad. The food was hot and the portions were slightly larger than average. Sadly, the food was LESS than average. I've tried many, many Chinese restaurants and this comes close to the worst I've been to. The Chicken Fried rice honestly looked like it was a container filled with left overs from many plates, it appeared old and stale, which is exactly how the rice tasted. The Chicken Chow Mein was overly greasy and "blah." It didn't have a good flavor. The Sweet & Sour Pork was okay... The Walnut Prawns were "more than words can describe disappointing;" listed on their menu as: "Crispy prawns and walnuts sauteed and fried in light white sauce." (Which is exactly what they are and should be.) When I opened my container it was fried prawns in one section (the prawns were tasty and fresh at least), walnuts in another section, and white sauce in the other. The walnuts looked raw and the sauce had absolutely no flavor, barely sweet. It looked like extremely thick mayonnaise without the flavor. The Hot & Sour Soup was hot, our toddler loved the tofu, and over all this was probably the best item we ate... it was decent. My family and I personally do not recommend this Chinese Food restaurant and we will definitely not return.

Pros: Cleanliness, Friendly Staff, Fast Service

Cons: Below Average Food

Great food!!! We orderd the prawn fried rice (large prawns), sweet and sour chicken (all white meat) mangolian beef (wish it was a little more spicier, but good), and the egg fu young (very vey good and hard to find). The food was fresh and smelled wonderful. The restaurant appeard clean and had a nice decor. I'm so glad we tried Peking Village and will probably go at least once a month.

Pros: Great food, clean restaurant

Cons: Parking, needs more windows

Peking Village is really a nice place to hang out with your friends and family whether during lunch or dinner. It's a good place to practice your vocal cord as well. If you are looking forward to have a good time, Peking Village is the place. I am so happy! I got to sing the songs of my favorite diva's like Regine, Zsa Zsa and Lani!!! And everyone was so appreciative and you can practice your dance moves like the chacha and swing. I love this place!

Who would have expected that a Chinese restaurant could make it such a memorable experience; We stopped at a bank for a quick ATM stop, and what caught our attention is this huge patio, decked out with nice patio chairs, fancy umbrellas and a plasma screen. It took a minute for hostess to notice us, we didnt mind as we were checking out the menu. The desert that caught my attention; a fresh fruit chocolate fondue, we had to try it. We scored a table in front of the performer who was playing jazz. My girlfriend ordered Honey Walnut Shrimp and I ordered Spicy Lamb. Food arrived within minutes; all of the dishes were decorated, a very nice presentation. Chocolate arrived in a fondue pot, with flame under it. The fruit plate was filled with fresh strawberry, apples, cheese, pineapple, and banana. It is hard to describe in 150 words

Pros: Fantastic Food, Awesome Patio, Great Service

Cons: Never knew it's there

I walked in toward closing, but instead of the "oh no" mood, I got a genuine "Good evening!". Having recently moved from the Chicago area, I was looking for a place who had dishes very similar to the place we frequented back home. Everyone's favorites were there - but mine. When I brought this up with the owner, he called the chef out from the back and had me describe what ingredients were in it. The chef whipped up a batch of the most heavenly Banana Chicken I have EVER HAD! I hope it becomes a regular on the menu - because it was FANTASTIC!

Pros: Good price, Great taste, Customer service

Cons: None
