A pleasant San Francisco spa - but avoid convention season!

I've been here a few times, and will return again. Once you navigate your way through the hotel, and past the rather inhospitable spa lobby the actual spa itself is quite inviting. The "waiting" area is attractive and the little nibbles were to my taste. During one visit I felt as though I had the spa to myself, another time the spa appeared to be full of convention goers and was crowded and noisy. My treatments have mostly been satisfactory, although one massage was marred by a therapist who could have paid more attention to what she was doing. Locker room amenities were pleasant, with an abundance of towels. The downtown location is either a plus or a minus, it can be a bit challenging to wend you way through traffic and find parking especially on busy days.
