Laser Hair Removal

I was nervous about laser hair removal and I felt very relaxed after meeting with a nurse at Dermalounge. I scheduled an appointment the next day for the procedure. I felt very comfortable and the nurse who did it was great. They give you ice packs to help with the pain. I wouldn't call it pain actually - more just uncomfortable. After 1 treatment there's already a difference. I didn't feel pressured at all by the staff and they made me feel very comfortable.

Great Facial - Spa and Medical facility all in one!

I had the best facial of my life today from Megan! I've been getting regular facials for about 5 years now and this tops them all. Dermalounge is the perfect combination of a spa facility (hand and arm massage, neck massage, facial massage, comfy bed, etc) and a medical facility (clean rooms, healing products, improved skin condition). I will definitely become a regular. Thanks Megan and Kristin!

great treatment

Just want everyone to know the fantastic experience I had with Linda yesterday at Dermalounge... she was fantastic!!!!.. Made you feel so comfortable and was just about pain free.. she explains everything thoroughly and helps you to enjoy your treatment! she's funny, kind and so easy going.. also the receptionist was GREAT.. so nice .. made you laugh and feel right at ease.. I would recommend this place to EVERYONE! Ask fr Linda B! She will make your DAY! Looking forwad to further treatments! thanks Linda!

SOOOO Relaxing

Just got a facial from Kim and it was fantastic! Instead of leaving you lying on the table for 20 mins. while the mask is on, bored or impatient, she gave a nice shoulder, arm and hand massage during the mask.

Amazing facial and more!

The advanced facial with microdermabrasion is the greatest deal in the city! I walked away with velvety-soft skin and enjoyed a pratically full massage throughout the facial--a complete bonus!

I've also had laser hair removal and IPL treatment--both of my specialists were incredibly informative and friendly. The service was effective and virtually painless.

I'd highly recommend DermaLounge for anyone looking to improve their skin, look younger and just relax!

This is the only place that cleared my skin

The IPL treatment is like topical accutane. Nothing (face washing, prescription creams, drugstore creams, Remede, Bliss, antibiotics, chemical peels, etc) was preventing my skin from breaking out, and I was unwilling to do another course of Accutane. After three IPL treatments I am not wearing makeup, which is an unheard of event in my life. Yes, it is pricey. But it has cured my acne, which is (ahem) priceless.

• Pros: cures, not treatments!

SF's best facial and medical spa

New-ish (they revamped from Nourish in 2005/2006) Dermalounge is redefining skin care and maintenance as the Bay Area knows it. Aside from the superior products -- Skinceuticals and the like all the way -- the staff there "love to pamper people". Who says that?? All the lovely people at Dermalounge, that's who! So now go and get yourself the BEST (no hyperbole here; serioulsy, it's the BEST) facial of your life and whatever other professional skin care needs that you might have. You will be very happy with yourself.

Fabulous Facials & Botox!!

I'm all for the facial with a massage and that is what Dermalounge offers! I also had a little b-tox and can still show facial expression without the nasty forehead lines i wanted to get rid of. Nicole Alvino is an awesome person and a great business leader for women!!

• Pros: Kristin the receptionist is always so friendly and helpful!
• Cons: Botox is not covered by insurance, but that's not their fault!

Best Medical Spa in SF!

I have been a client of Dermalounge since they were Nourish. I was a bit nervous with the change, but I have to say things have only changed for the better! The best benefit from the change is they have a great gal at the front desk who can answer any question you may have about services, products, etc. She was so knowledgable that I decided to try laser hair removal. I bought a package of 5 sessions and she gave me all of the info on what to do before, after and what to expect during the procedure. I had a session last week with Amanda, who was so comforting and gentle. I was so shocked at how quick and painless it was! I already see hair loss! Bottom line, the women who work at Dermalounge are sweet, professional and into what they do.

• Pros: Professional, Upbeat, Full of Smiles!
• Cons: Small Wait at times

Great facial!

I've been to Dermalounge a few times to get the Nourish Advanced Treatment facial for problem skin. It was WONDERFUL!! Athena was very thorough and I left there feeling completely relaxed and happy with clean skin! The only downside is that I usually have to wait for my appt because they are running late, and the staff talks about personal things and I can hear everything since it's a small waiting room. Sometimes I'm waiting for them to do something and they are talking. Their time could be managed a little better. However, facials are great and there is NO SALES PRESSURE. They are very knowledgeable about the SkinCeuticals products.
