Best manager
by deebocz
After leaving my movie showing I went into the women's bathroom where I found a woman in distress asking me to call 911. The manager on site, Brenton, assisted us in getting the woman help from the paramedics. He was extremely calm and handled the situation with ease. He even gave me and my husband free movie passes for helping this woman. I commend his talent for handling an emergency in the best way possible. He is well trained, well mannered and I feel much safer now going to that theatre knowing that such an employee is there. Thank you Brenton.
great late night get away

I love this movie theater.. they always have the top movies. a lot of kids frequent this place, so it can get noisy... but all in all.. i always feel that i have a good seat. The food is expensive as always... and I do not like that they charge a special price for good movies when they are hot... and only have one showing.
- Pros: parking free and easy
- Cons: charge preimum price for late night showings
Nothing special.

The ONLY good thing about this theater is that there is free parking. Otherwise, it looks like any other theater in the middle of nowhere. The screens are sufficiently big and they have a lot of movies. But if you want to catch a matinee show on the weekend, then it's only $0.25 cheaper than a regular price ticket. They don't have student discounts like they do at the AMC theaters. ALSO, they don't take credit card. Everything is CASH ONLY.
Another problem is that this is a hot spot for teenagers. Which means a lot of phones going off, a lot of text-messaging during the movie and just a lot of talking in general. If you want a quiet movie, stay in the city (SF) and go to small theater with more personality.
- Pros: free parking
- Cons: cash only

Great for teenagers.Matinae ends early on weekends. Well if you grew up in Daly City and your about 30 years old, and ya really want to avoid teeny boppers don't go here. When its the only show in town you'll go. This theater tries to copy the style of Vaness street in San Francisco, but the parking is not built in the same building, but it is free. Basically the location is by Bart and it blocks traffic, it is a money maker for Daly City, however I'd recommend going to San Francisco if you can.
- Pros: close to Daly City, free parking, many movies
- Cons: traffic, over crowded, high cost

Horrible theater
by mattgr5
Skip this theater, it's horrible. It's an absolute waste of money to see a movie in this place. We saw a movie there the other night, and besides the temperature being close to 95 degrees (I kid you not), the movie theater was horribly uncomfortable. Furthermore, the staff is inept and exceptionally defensive about it.
Do not pay money to see a movie here.
- Pros: nothing
- Cons: comfort, theater layout, staff
Customer service nightmare
by Scottus
Two hours and fifty minutes into a showing of Lord of the Rings, the film suddenly stopped, the house lights came up, and the slide show restarted. It took 20 minutes for one of the staff to come in to apologize and another ten for the projection guy to tell us they would start the film again in another ten minutes. I got my refund vouchers 3 hour and 40 minutes after a 3 hour long movie started, and they still hadnt restarted the film. After an hour the film finally started again; from the beginning, with the trailers. We left without seeing the end. The fact that we only had one manager come into the theatre to explain the delay and apologize (he stayed for 3 minutes or so) has soured me on Century Theatres.
- Pros: Free parking, Freeway access, New
- Cons: Management, Projection staff

Being a new theathre, and a considering the size of the overall complex, I thought it would be a good movie going experience. Turns out the opposite was true. Given the large size of the complex, the parking structure was quite crowded and small. Having two elevators only makes things worse. The theathre has escalators, but they are the narrow variety that really only lets people go up or down in a single file, yet the stairs are quite wide. Another flaw was during the movie when we could hear the rumbling sound from the next theathre indicating a lack of adequate sound insulation, the volume was way too loud, or both. I'm thinking both because during some scenes, I remember having to cover my ears. It was about the loudness of a firetruck passing about 20ft away from you with sirens and horns blaring...Waaayyy too loud for comfort.
- Pros: big
- Cons: bad design, lack of sound proofin, bad parking
