very friendly people and nice atmosphere
by angelinajane
I went to Olive one time in 07, was attracted by the name of the place and it was near to the place I was staying. Nice bar and simple yet wonderfully interesting menu. It is nice and clean, good music, comfortable atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff and owner. They all worked hard to please, more than expected. I will definately be going back this year. Thanks - 'Olive' - for going above and beyond expectations.
- Pros: great people, drinks and food
- Cons: none
Great Service
by missmoore89
I went for an art show, and it was wonderful. Everyone in there was so nice and cool. Not too many people know about it so it is quiet. I love this place and I will be going back for sure! They have a great staff and everyone is so nice. I broke a glass and usually at other places I would have to go find someone to to help me pick it up, but someone came within seconds of the glass breaking, and no one got mad. This place is drama free and a wonderful place just to go chill and have dinner.
- Pros: Wonderful people
- Cons: none
Great pizzas
by tf2001
Really cute place considering the neighborhood. I like it because it's never too crowded or noisy and you can actually have a conversation. The drinks and pizza specials during happy hour are a great deal.

The Scene
From the outside, this hideaway looks like a wood cabin. Inside, there are no windows, but considering the less-than-scenic surroundings, it's a good thing. The overall vibe is fun, artsy lounge. Sultry music pours out of speakers, while candles and dim lamps illuminate the small, high-ceilinged space. Paintings of mostly olives dot the walls--including a simple, Warholian-like print over the bar. Across from the bar, which is decorated with diamonds (a la a backgammon board), tall tables for four line the wall and typically host "Sex and the City" types.
The Draw
Drinks are expertly prepared, like the chocolate martini, which is served with tasty shavings lining the rim. Rotating vodka infusions, like wheat grass-kiwi or mango-plum, are served with a wedge of fruit (which alone packs enough punch to get a lightweight loaded). Light fare includes a highly recommended seared tuna with fried wonton chips, as well as cilantro-garlic fries.
Watermelon Bar not Olive Bar
by ymb107
Everything there tasted like watermelon beer, water, and the cocktails.
