Ambiance has a large selection of cute and classy women's clothes that are well-made but not ridiculously overpriced. Some of their stuff is a little too boho and "out there" for me, but they have tons of tailored pants, cute dresses, skinny designer jeans, and funky tops. Things aren't cheap, but they are much better than most boutiques in the area. I actually prefer the selection at their Haight Street location, but parking is easier in the Marina AND the Union Street store has an amazing sales section!! They have tons of stuff always on sale - clothes, shoes, bags, accessories, you name it. I would definitely recommend checking out Ambiance!
Pros: big selection, reasonable prices, unique finds
Cons: a little crowded, some odd (or even ugly) pieces

Every time I go to Union Street I enjoy window shopping and people watching but my wallet doesn't open until I get to Ambiance. The other stores on the street may be cute but I love Ambiance cause I can actually AFFORD something there. They have the cutest stuff and the salesgirls are super friendly but not in your face. And when my best friend takes too long shopping - as she always does - I love their big soft couch.
Pros: pro-selection, pro-prices, pro-location
Cons: , con-sometimes crowded

I can always find something, what ever my mood. The sales girls always have great recommendations! I'm always shocked at how well priced everything is, especially the jewelry. The denim selection is awesome!
Pros: inexpensive, helpful, fun
