Outlandish Price for Fatty Steaks

Party of eight, all had steaks, even the short ribs dish was too fatty. This restaurant is way over-rated. We will never go back. Only saving grace were the side dishes, but how difficult is it to make tasty mashed potatoes, scalloped potatoes or macaroni and cheese?

• Pros: Close to Cirque du Soleil
• Cons: Food quality and prices

Don't bother

The food was terrible...the steak was lousy and the pork chops were raw in the middle. The gazpacho appeared to be nothing more than a can of tomato sauce dumped in a bowl. Even the salad was bad--the greens were bitter. The service wasn't good either. Very disappointing.

Look at your check or be ripped off

I took 4 friends to dinner for a birthday and Scott waited on us at the bar. We selected some steaks that were good but they showed up on the check for $15 dollars more than what was on the menu! then a bartender offered to buy us shots for my friends birthday and they were on the check. Scott was rude and his service was poor, then he made excuses for over charging us on 5 items and didn't correct the check. We're all in the restaurant industry, so we know how to take care of people and when people are being rude. He walked away from us when we were paying as if he knew how bad he overcharged us. I will say that the wine list was decent and well priced. Scrutinize your check before you pay!!

• Cons: Service was terrible and OVERCHARGED BY $100+

Consistently good

Have had lunch here a few times recently and the food has been great. The tri tip salad is always excellent. I tried the salmon special and it was done perfectly, for a chophouse they certainly know how to cook a piece of fish. The experience can be as upscale as you want it to be or not (e.g. suit & tie or shorts on the patio), and they do a good mignonette for their pretty consistent oyster selection.

BEST FILET MIGNON I'VE EVER HAD!!

I went to dinner here on a week night so it was not very crowded. There were plenty of staff working so we received the most attentive service. Our waiter was the best.. very thoughtful and had a great sense of humor. I had the filet mignon and it was the most tender piece of meat I've ever had... ABSOLUTELY delicious & cooked to perfection. It was a little on the pricey side ($37), but I still highly recommend it. There were also four sauces that came with it and all were splendid!!!

Best steak ever!

Ok my second time there. The best damn steak I ever had. It melts off your knife. All grass fed, natural, etc. Dined with 4 others and everyone was extremely pleased from fish, chicken and steak. The rest of the dishes are reasonable the steak is expensive but well worth it.

Truly a crowd pleaser.

Nothing special

What can I say? My expectation was high. I had dinner at Acme and I have to say that it is just average (mavbe not even). Okay, the ambience is pretty. However, the selection of food is disappointing.

OH NO!

We picked this for a special event, how v e r y disappointed we were. The waitress was very sotic. hardly spoke or even said hello. Did her job as a server ok,, but absolutleyl NO personality. Never asked how the meal was and at times never even responded to questions or said thank you. Spending almost $700. and having a waitress with a frown was not what we expected. Food was good however much too expensive- all things considered would have a hard time to recommend the ACME Chop House.

Taste, flavor & cooked extremely well

All of the food tasted great, from appetizers, oysters to the steak dishes were just great. Not overly fancy but all tasted great. The service was friendly & fun but conducted themselves in a professional way as a fine dinning restaurant. Went with a large group and every dish was executed timely and perfect. It far surpassed my expectations.

Absolutely Terrific!

ACME is definitely a must-go/try place! I tried it with my husband before christmas and it's on top of my list now!! We had the steak tartare and oysters as starters and they were marvellous...as for entree we had the lamb chop and also the pork chop, and they were really good and delicious!!! The hostess was A+++!!It was such a pleasant experience and we would love to go there again. Service was top notch and food was excellent.
