We went to RoHan Lounge the night before 4th of July, and we had a great time. The ambience is cool. We had a large group of 8 people and the one bartender and one waitress were nice, prompt and best of all the food is good and cheap! The crispy tofu was cooked perfectly and not oily. The vegetable dumplings were a little overdone, but the beef was also terrific. Overall, we were very happy and wish it was closer to where we live!

  • Pros: food is tasty for a great price
  • Cons: location

I've been to Rohan a dozen or so times now, and I've come away happy every time. The drinks here are all made with Soju, which gives familiar drinks (Cosmos, Mojitos, etc) a twist. I'm especially a fan of the White Tiger, a yummy and subtle cocktail. The food here is pretty great, too. It's a little pricy, but the dishes are all easy to share and quite delicious. The baked apple dessert is to die for! The service is ok, not great on crowded nights but pretty attentive on weekdays. Even on busy nights, we've never felt rushed. Definitely make reservations on a Friday or Saturday, but the rest of the week, you can walk in and be almost guaranteed a seat. Love it!

  • Pros: Great drinks, delicious desserts
  • Cons: A little pricy, very crowded and loud on weekends

When you first walk into the place, it looks pretty cool. Once you sit down though, it's a different story. The service was slow, the soju was pretty average and the service was okay. Nothing special about this place! If you've been to the soju bars in LA and NY, you'll agree with me 100%

  • Pros: one of the very few Korean soju bars in SF...
  • Cons: service

In Short
Thin bamboo rods and quirky, original artwork line the walls of this small hideout. Attractive college coeds mingle on a continuous red banquette snaking the left side of the space, while 20- and 30-something locals sit at the under-lit bar. The bar's back shelf is also aglow, highlighting various sojus (rice wine) which are mixed with fruit juices to produce specialty cocktails like the mojito-inspired Ginju.

Great place. The food is a great fusion of Korean and other asian influences. One of the best fried calamaris I have ever tasted... comes with a delicious red pepper aoili not too heavy on the battering.

Even the drinks are a treat... they only serve Soju (like sake, tastes better and has a higher alchohol content) wine, and beer but it all goes great with the menu. The staff is always friendly and stylish.

Great place for a date .. not too loud and if you can manage to get an end booth table you will be almost sitting side by side for cozying up. :)

This place had mad flava!

  • Pros: Inexpensive
  • Cons: Parking is sorta tough sometimes

I really do reccomend going to rohan at happy hour... drinks and appetizers are half off, and when the food and drink is this good, you dont want to miss this! The soju mohitos and soju lycheetinis are my favourite as well as the fried tofu with edamame, short ribs, and salmon rolls... by the way, they play the BEST restaurant music in san francisco and the waitstaff is super chill and super friendly.

  • Pros: food, drinks, value
  • Cons: size of place, location, entrees not as good

I went on a Sunday and Wednesday night - both times were pretty empty. (Which worked well for us b/c we didn't have to compete for the waitress's attention.) Returned on the Wednesday for 1/2 drinks and lounge nibbles - great place for our group getting toasted! First time having soju and thoroughly enjoyed it! (Heard the 1/2 drink specials are going to be for Sunday too!) Have yet to try the place on a Friday or Saturday, but overall, fun place w/ tasty drinks! Will go back!

  • Pros: 1/2 drink specials, 1/2 lounge nibbles, soju!
  • Cons: Geary parking, not busy enough?

for the many times i have been here, the food is always the same.... delicious, but the service seems to be declining steadily. the atmosphere is nice, as a second or third date type of place, the drinks and food are delicious. the prices can get a little more than you would expect once you start adding everything up. but it is still decent value. my only real complaint is the past several times i have eaten here the wait staff was rude and unattentive.

  • Pros: cozy atmosphere, quirky music, yummy tapas
  • Cons: wait staff, parking, ok value. not great

On any given night this place is a great meeting spot for a date or to catch up with friends. The interior is comfortable while still maintaining a chic theme. I may be biased here but it reminds me of those certain favorite hangouts of mine in L.A. and Manhattan where you can have a good time in a nice setting without loud music blaring in your ears. The drinks are good but be prepared to try cocktails that are different from the usual bar menu.

  • Pros: Unique cocktails, Chic decor
  • Cons: Parking, Sometimes too crowded

Some friends of mine introduced me to Rohan a couple of years ago. Now I can't seem to stop coming back. I love their cocktails, especially the White Tiger, and while the calamari has gotten proportionately smaller, it is still tasty. The music is pretty good and is constantly changing so you never quite know what to expect when you arrive. The bathrooms aren't too bad either considering some of the dives I've been too. Rarely is the place overly packed and it's got a nice mixed crowd. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

  • Pros: Cocktails, Atmosphere
