simple night out

I love this place because it is a simple and cozy night out. Though I was hesitant at first as they occupy the old Cafe Istanbul space, which I love and miss greatly. My friends and I have loved all the dishes. Flavorful and spiced about right for our varied tastes. I love their nan, as it is somewhat crisp and not greasy and doughy. It is a large yet warm and cozy space. The family has always made our groups feel very welcome. In short, I love this inexpensive family run eatery in the mission.

We made a delivery order from Maharaja last night. First, the spiciness covered up the tastelessness of my navratan korma.The naan was like shoe leather- and no sauces! What's naan without those three magical sauces? On top of it all -here's the kicker-after they took my cc# over the phone, the delivery boy shows up and tells me their machine is broken. My boyfriend had to leave the kid on our steps so he could go to the ATM while the food got cold.They actually sent this boy out to face the wrath of angry customers, instead of calling us back so we could make other provisions. Ah, that's it. They didn't want a cancellation! Well, I tossed that menu for good.
