I'm a member of the bay club since 2004. I love how they have all kinds of classes and their instructors are very professional. the gym is very clean and spacious, people are friendly. They also have a good suttle serives, good for people work at downtown. They have tennis, basketball, squash court, and swimming pool. Three yoga rooms, I never get bored going there. The membership is totally worthy.
Pros: Everything is good, such a thoughful club
Cons: none

Sure it is a little more expensive than some other clubs and not as exclusive as some private clubs, but all in all it has what I needed. The squash courts are good and because they limit the number of members it is usually possible to get a court. The classes are great with very professional staff and a great yoga studio. The renovated locker rooms are also very nice.
Pros: parking is easy, squash, massage
Cons: expensive

I joined the Bay Club after being unhappy with the facilities and cleanliness at other gyms. I am happy to pay the extra money I pay at the Bay Club - because it's worth it. The staff is always helpful and welcoming, and all of the Bay Club's instructors have been great - knowledgeable, encouraging, patient, and fun. The facilities are always clean and there are always plenty of clean towels.
Pros: Excellent staff, Clean facilities, Parking
Cons: Older gym - not hip

the bay club is awsome, cool machines, great classes, nice people working there, but there are a lot of sleezy rich guys, but hey some people like that...
Pros: good parking, good equipment
Cons: sleezy people, expensive a bit

Bay Club Marin is worth the membership fee. The classes are taught by experienced trainers. The place is spotless and the staff super friendly. The locker room attendents are on it, keeping it clean and stock with fresh towels. My first day was "prime time" Saturday morning (raining) around 9-9:30. I was able to have any machine I wanted and there was plenty of cardio equipment. Spinning with Fred, well what can I say but he's tops. His fun attitude, choice of music and challenging class is not to be missed.
Pros: Parking, locker room, well staffed
Cons: cost a little more

The Bay Club offers the customer service that every gym should strive for. The front desk staff actually says hello when you walk in - what a concept! Machines are always available - I've never had to wait in line.
