The food at Citizen Cake was excellent. We went for dinner, and my husband can't stop raving about the duck, and the cod "clam chowder" I had was exquisite. Our dessert was a very unique blend of pumpkin and chocolate. Service was a bit slow at times, but generally hospitable. The only drawback may be the decor, or lack thereof. I did like the dessert/cafe/bar/restaurant concept, but the atmosphere was definitely more cafe-style minimalist, and the tables were very close together. Intimate conversation is definitely not possible. Still, my husband and I will be sure to rush back soon.
