I've been going to Fringe for more than three years and what I love about the place is that is completely unpretentious. Everyone is extremely friendly and you can tell they enjoy what they do. I've been seeing Janine since day one and she is amazing. If you are looking for someone who gives a great cut and can make you laugh, try Janine.

Yah! Janine out did herself on my last cut and color. My best look yet! I walked in to the salon feeling drab, my mood matching the gray weather outside. And I walked out 2 hours later feeling like a new woman! So many compliments about my hair since then! I would highly recommend Janine and Fringe to everyone. The salon is welcoming and they always have the most up to date products and techniques. Great prices too! Thanks again Janine!

i've been going to fringe for 4 years now and i love it. all the stylists do a wonderful job. I see both janine and emily and have always been thrilled with the results-- and believe me, i'm very particular! i recently referred a friend who wanted her hair colored for her wedding day. she saw janine and was delighted with the results. all the stylists there do everything to ensure you leave fringe looking and feeling gorgeous -- i know i always do!

I had a great color job done for the first time in a long time. Cute space. I made a 7pm color apt. and the owner stayed until 9 to finish. I love the flexabilty. thanks.

Pros: hours, clean, skill

Cons: parking, not bad at night though.

Karen is the BEST! I look forward to my hair cut and color every four weeks for the past 8 years. I have so much fun with these ladies. In 8 years I have never had a bad hair cut. It always amazes me. What a relief it is to not have to worry about my hair. And.. I do not have genetically good hair. It is thin and frizzy. Karen is a natural at hair and a goddess in my eyes!!! If you can not get Karen because she is so booked, I would book with Emily. I have never seen anyone that has worked with Emily walk out with bad hair. When Karen was on maternaty leave I had Emily do my hair and it was just as fabulous. I know I must sound over the top but I mean every word....

I went into fringe with color nitemare, it needed a fix. After informing me on what could be done, I sat back and put my trust into another "strangers" hands. I had been here before, but this time it was her honesty that led me to trust her to fix it.She told me what she was willing to do not what she thought I wanted to hear. I am pleased with the turn out and look forward to future visits to chana's chair. thankyou.

I called in on a busy Saturday, and was told the only appointment avail was with a junior stylist, and did I mind. I didn't, and scheduled my appointment for later that afternoon. From the moment I walked in, everyone was friendly, and helpful. After introducing herself, the first question Jen asked was to tell her about my hair, what I liked and what I didn't....this was a first! So after a short chat I sat back relaxed and let her work. From the moment she was done, I loved my new cut. There was none of the usual adjustment period. I liked it so much, that I made an appointment on the spot for a color. I think, after two years living in SF, I've finally found my stylist!! As for being a "junior" stylist...I would have never known! I reccommend Fringe, and especially Jen to anyone that wants a GREAT cut!

Great people, great location, great cut. Would definitely recommend "emily" at Fringe. Totally cool, interesting and she gives a mean haircut. I have had three cuts from her and one dye and loved them all.

I'ts been awhile since I've taken a chance at a new salon where I didn"t know anybody that had been before. I'm really pleased. I will be telling some friends. Thankyou for my cut and color.

I was walking by fringe on my way to do some Hayes street shopping, popped in to see if they could take a color walk-in. Sure enough within the hour I was seen, she talked to me about what upkeep I was really capable of commiting to.Within guidlines she asked for, I then decided to give her freedom to do what she felt suitable. I LOVE MY HAIR. YEAH!!! Thanks, Channa
