Our favorite place to dine out in Marin. We never fail to meet old timers there. The service is fast and the servers friendly and helpful,

Good food , good atmosphere, clean. reasonable and a great idea for giving gift certificates to others to dine here.

Fantastic food

I've dined 3 times at this delicious, comfortable, friendly family restaurant. The atmosphere is inviting, with choices of the main dining room, smaller private rooms for special events, and a beautiful sun-deck with your choice of full sun or shade if desired. Each time I've eaten lunch there, the restaurant has had between 30-40 patrons, making for a festive yet relaxed atmosphere. The food is eclectic and very satisfying, with strong pasta dishes (loved the baby-clam Linguine and sausage mushroom Papardelle), meat, seafood, and excellent pizzas that were gobbled up by the under-10 crowd at my table (my 8-year old son and his friend.) The staff are very friendly and knowledgable about the food as well as the wine list, and are happy to tailor your order as you wish. Prices are very reasonable. Overall, a great experience for the whole family!

Tasty Pasta!

This place keeps me coming back, time after time because of the delicious pasta (everything?s great but the pasta either the penne or the fettuccini are my favorites). The service is great, never have to wait for a table cause the place is huge... when i go alone, i just sit at the bar and people watch. Good people watching...

Great Service- BEST FOOD

I have been going here with my family for years, I love it! I crave it. My favorite dish is the Penne with vodka sauce. The portions are huge and the service is great. This is a great place for families to enjoy authentic Italian food .They have great specials that change daily. The salmon is great! Fresh, clean, fun... what else could you ask for?

Like dining with a happy family!

Be prepared to be welcomed as if you're in the home of a good friend. Most of the staff has been there for over 10 years...and not many restaurants can say that today. The atmosphere is comfortable, service is friendly without being intrusive and the steaks are OUTSTANDING!

• Pros: Inside or out, it's a really nice place to dine!
• Cons: The back room- I like to be where all the action is!

Like being invited to dinner

There's something special about a place where, even if you haven't been there for several months, the crew remembers you. That's what Arrivederci has been for me - a place I don't visit often, but go with family or other special people with whom I want to enjoy solid, tasty Italian food and a pleasant ambience (despite its close proximity to noisy Third street in San Rafael). Some personal favorites:

CAPELLINI POMODORO - one of my simple favorites, I feel like they do it better than other higher profile locations.

PENNE ROSATO CON POLLO - again, not haute cuisine but simple, tasty, and filling.

SALMON PICCATA - venture off the pasta list and you'll be happy you did, at least with this fine dish.

• Pros: Great value, Attentive service, Inexpensive wines
• Cons: Close to Noisy 3rd St

Wonderful Atmosphere

The staff at this restaurant were so pleasant and helpful, you never felt ignored, and they were not in your face all of the time either. And I highly recomend the Chicken Parmigiana.
