Great among greats

There are many good breakfast/brunch spots in the Bay Area, but Rick and Ann's is up there with the best. I love love the gingerbread waffle and the tofu scramble. Every person I've ever taken there has become a convert. The wait can be incredibly long but that's the case at all the good weekend brunch places and besides, it is so worth it. Get a cup of Peet's from next door, grab a local paper, and soak in some local color while you wait for your table.
