St Timothy School. The School is one of the best schools in San Mateo.I'm confused about the negative reviews. My daughter has been attending St Tim for two years now. The teachers are exceptional. They give the children the attention they need. My daughter class has 23 kids which is very reasonable in my opinion compared to other public and private schools in San Mateo. The teachers work really hard to make sure that the children are having a great educational experience. The school offers Spanish, Computer, Music and PE and I believe they offer sports and band to the older grades. The principle and staff are awesome people who are always there to help with any request and answer any questions. I have to say it was the people who run this school that got us to enroll my daughter and be part of the St Timothy family and we feel part of this great school
St. Timothy School. Very surprised by the previous reviews. My experience was totally different. Excellent teachers. The children are extremely happy. New principal this year. She has brought enthusiasm and energy to this school. The Junior High is terrific. Mrs. Flynn's math classes are great. The students have been in many competitions and come in 1st place. Since the reviews are in 2008 I believe these people have not checked with the school lately. This is a wonderful environment. All the grades are terrific! Please check this school out! You won't be sorry!
St. Timothy's Catholic School is below average.. My daughter attended kindergarten at St. Tims. Class size was very high and the students were all crammed into one little classroom. Their non-discrimantory policy seems to be their downfall. (Too many Pacific Islanders.) In a few years 75% of the school will be Pacific Islanders! Their curriculum is behind compared to the nearby public schools and their Physical Education program is horrible. If your looking for a good education and you want your child to develop good social skills you should definitley consider the surounding public schools their just fine if not better.
Terrible Junior High Program. I am a graduate of St. Timothys, and i can tell you first hand that the junior high program is terrible. Great teachers, but ridiculous rules/policy. Completely disrespectful to everybody. I think with a new principal and a chnage of policy will make this a great school. But as of right now, the Junior High program shouldnt be attended by anyone. at all.
