Great food!. Great thin crust pizza! The salads are great! They are on of the few restaurants that deliever to our home.

AVOID THIS PLACE! SPECIALLY DELIVERY.. As an Italian, I'm very exigent about italian food, of course. Putting aside my urgence of eating REAL italian food out side of Italy (which I can cook myself), when I'm too tired or lazy to cook, what usually contents me, is something at least close to italian food... Well, D'AMICIS PIZZERIA is near by my house so, I used to order from there untill the day that the delivery guy run away with a $100 bill I've gave instead $20. I've realized my mistake in time and went after him but, he literally, took off. I've called D'AMICIS right away but, nothing had been done, plus, I've been told that "the guy was a 2 years employee and they wouldn't do anything.It's my mistake to give him the bill."

Well fellows, about your money you decide but, from then, I've been cooking my own pizza or going to PAZZIA, a place on 3rd St., where the pizza tastes real italian but, unfortunatly, they do not delivery it.

Amici's East Coast Pizzeria. Ok so I have heard everyone talking about it at work. I would even hear people on the train talk about this great little Italian place in San Mateo called Amici's. After hearing so many rave reviews my husband and I decided to go and check it out.

We avoided Friday night as advised and still we waited in what seemed to be an almost empty dining room. We waited so long that several times my husband suggested getting up and leaving. The restaurant it self was nice. It was warm and cozy. When we finally got our menu's we looked them over and decided on the Chicken Alfredo and Caesar salads. The salad was brown and more than a little wilted I had to ask for salad dressing because our seemingly occupied server had forgotten it. It more than likely had something to do with her being on her cell phone almost the whole time she served us. I finally had to ask her if maybe she could take her call after we had all our food. After a rolling of the eyes she slammed the salad dressing on the table and hung up her phone. We chocked down our salads with some sodas that were not refilled the entire night. Then came the pasta I assume that there was was a creamy sauce somewhere under the layer of grease that was over our pasta. At that point my husband had it. He returned our food and asked to speak with the manager. Our meal was comped excuses were made about the server having a bad night and there usual cook being out sick. I was unimpressed. We left hungry and upset. I could not see myself returning to Amici's again!

Worst Pizza Ever!. Amici's makes the worst pizza I've ever had! I've been to Amici's restaurants 3 times and had it several times in meetings.

Here's why I give them such a bad grade: the pizza is super thin (I know some of you like it that way), there is hardly any sauce, below average amount of cheese, and hardly any toppings. Could they skimp on the toppings any more? I doubt it. Some frozen pizzas are better than Amici's! For example: DiGiorno and Freschetta.

I recommend to stay away from this pizza unless you want to remain hungry. There is nothing to like about this pizza.

Excellent Pizza in a Casual Atmosphere. Amici's has the best pizza in town. Fast, friendly service. Parking garage next door or street parking. Good full menu, great for familys or large groups. Reasonable prices.

It's ok pizza. I decided to give Amici's a try as I hear a lot about the famous "New York" style pizza and that Amici's is the best east coast style pizza around. Having a tried the best thin pizza here, IMO I like west coast pizza a lot better. I'm not saying that it was bad pizza, I just don't think it was anything special and tasted a little bit on the bland side. The only real negative I have to say is not sure if it's because it's in San Mateo or because it's a "speciality" pizza place but the place is way overpriced.

Excellent PIZZA - BRAVO !. Put it this way, we were looking at condos in both Millbrae and Burlingame ... The tie-breaker: Amici's delivers to Burlingame. (And we still dine-in at their San Mateo restaurant once a week.)
