Editorial Review for Palo Alto Bowl – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
This alley fulfills its obligations by providing 32 lanes, a full-service bar and the usual collection of video games and pinball machines. In addition to regulars, young, attractive professionals can be seen knocking back domestic beers while bowling a few frames Friday and Saturday nights. The energy cranks up on weekends for Planet Bowling, when the lights are low and music is pumped. Birthday parties and events are also popular at the alley.

A good cheap place to go have some fun. 4 dollar pitchers of Old Milwaukee. Can't beat that west of the Nevada state line. Wed. nights after 8 are good for the younger crowd.

This bowling alley is SPECTACULAR!! What can I say? The manager, Ritch is extremely helpful and will go out of his way to make sure you have a plesant experience at Palo Alto Bowl. In addition, their newly opened pro shop is stacked with very high quality, low priced bowling equipment. The league environment is also very friendly as well. You'll see everyone from super crankers to toddlers practicing and having fun on these lanes. The equipment isn't the best, but it's tolerable. The lanes are dressed pretty well (more of a med-heavy shot) so I can't complain. Would definitely recommend this alley to EVERYONE!!
Pros: Extremely inexpensive, Superb service, Friendly atmosphere
Cons: Equipment sub-par
