Affordable, homelike, compassionate assisted living. My aunt lived at the University Mound Ladies Home for a year. The staff was dedicated and kind, making her feel at home immediately and encouraging her to socialize with the other ladies. When her friends visited, she took pride in showing them around the beautiful residence. UMLH is a nonprofit with spacious private rooms, a lovely backyard garden, a welcoming front parlor, and a homelike ambiance that makes it unlike any other assisted living facility in the city. It's worth a visit even if you don't need assistance yet.
