cute cute cute. I live in NB and this is one of my favorite shops on my favorite block. My perfect sunday would consist of getting a cup of coffee from cafe roma, browse through abitare, get a mani at the little shop next door, stop in adorna bella and have lunch at marios. Abitare has been here for ages and i buy lots of gifts for friends and family here. super cute shop with unique gifts.

Best Value in an "Eclectic" Gift Shop in SF!. Everytime I've needed to purchase a last-minute gift I've always been able to find it at Abitare in North Beach. The selection of affordable items offered from around the world is so broad that there is something for everyone here. There is even a delightfull children's section in the back. The owner, Cia Van Orden, is a "native" of North Beach and has wonderful taste - right down to her selection of unusual wrapping paper. Out of town guests coming to visit? Bring them here to get gifts and trinkets - not junky souvenirs or t-shirts. While Cia is ringing up your tab try on some of the cute and inexpensive silver jewelry at the counter!
