In Short – This neighborhood sports bar has been around since 1942, back when some of the regulars who now line the oak wood bar were just babies. Today, they play on G&C's sports teams, scarf quality Italian grub at the weekly luncheon, or yell at the game (football or baseball) on the plasma TV. The size of the mixed drinks cower in comparison to the beers, but with the bartender's heavy pour, imbibers will soon be singing "Volare" along with the jukebox.

Love the people you meet in this place

This is one of my favorite bars in North Beach. Amazing too because isn't normally my kind of place. But it's small, there is a pool table (although I don't play), they have Frank and Dean and the juke box, a huge autographed Sinatra poster in the back (which I envy!!) and the people you meet here are let's just say...friends of ours...no no, very interesting.
Not pretentious at all. Drinks aren't that cheap considering, but they're about average. Just a great place to bring some friends and hang out after work.
Shshh...they also let you bring in pizza from Golden Boy next door which coincidentally is my fav. pizza in the city!!
