A nice local scene with good people and Pinball. One of the saddest parts about leaving San Francisco to move to Chicago was leaving this place behind. The owners are fantastic and run an establisment which is welcoming to newcomers and home base to a cast of real characters. If you're looking for a Red Sox bar - this is the place. They even have a replica of the Green Monster adorning their back patio wall. Features - patio, Monday Night Football grub, regular BBQs, pinball, darts and, of course, Mark Fusia. Check it out.
East meets West. I recently had the pleasure of visiting this local bar. I am from the East coast and I found that the current owners are from the East coast also. The SOX and PATRIOTS are view early in the mornings and the atmosphere is non-threatning. They do not serve food, but the beer is cold and the service is great.
Bleach Bleach Bleach.
Yuk - why does this have to be my local bar! :(
This bar never really had any atmosphere and I would walk down to Kennedy's on Columbus instead. Now I've had to move even closer so I gave it another try recently. The new owners (possibly new) obviously have the bright idea to clean with bleach quite regularly and the place stinks of bleach *all the time*. The beer selection isn't great, but tastes worse when accompanied by the strong smell of chlorine. Imagine drinking your favourite pint in a municipal swimming baths and you get the idea.
They have darts (most redeming feature) and a pinball table.
