In Short
Travel from Italy to Prague in one block with a visit to this delightful artist's cafe near Columbus Avenue. Round tables topped with colorful tablecloths, romantic murals, a small bar and a couch fill the darkened interior; outside, a handful of wicker tables comprises a small smoker's patio. Regulars read or expound on Socialism over strong coffee, wine, or bowls of goulash and dumplings. Fresh, house-made soups cull a loyal following, particularly the creamy tomato.

I came here on the way to pick up some licorice toffee in Little Italy for a friend. I had a huge salad called Salad Nicoise--sort of like a tuna salad but ten times better and ten times bigger. I was surrounded by Czech people and Czech music. Yes, this place does have slower service (no fast food here), but it's not slow enough to be neglectful of the customers, and the end result is well worth it.

loved this place when I used to work footsteps away. It was lovely for a my morning breakfast of mocha and bagel before heading out to work. It would definitely brighten my day . Lunch was a treat too-I usually stuck to the salads with crispy baguette slices and feta or goat cheese on the side.YUM. For dinner, Cafe Prague leaves a lot to be desired. It can be nice though in the evening to share a cup of tea or maybe a glass of wine and a warm dessert after a stroll in the emptiness of the financial district with your sweetie. By the way, I actually like the kitschy Czech old-wave pop they play. Very Eastern Block circa 60's. Oh, and I think the girls (and some boys) that work there are really are truly beautiful!

Adorable, yet pricey cafe. Food is pretty tasty, especially their salads. Makes for a great place to hang out for lunch or on a weekday afternoon.
