Best Venue Ever!. I love this venue! It's roomy and beautiful. When you walk inside you feel like you've stepped into the 50's. It's very clean and even the bathrooms are cute! I love coming to shows here. And the staff is nice. I love Bimbo's! The location is cool too.

Fun place. I came here for a comedy show and loved the venue. It's small enough that any seat is a good one. The staff is quick and set up was nice. I'd definitely like to return for other events here as I had a great time during my first visit.

Absolutely Horribly Experience. It's unfortunate that such an SF landmark has gone completely downhill. The door staff are completely rude and unprofessional - apparently more accustom to thugs than an upscale SF clientele. Bad attitudes and totally uninformed. It's awful when your first experience at a club is to be treated with total disrespect right at the front door. The drinks were just OK, but I later had to stick to bottled beer. Too bad... I used to love this place before it got to be so low class. I'll have to catch the good bands at other venues since I will NEVER go to Bimbo's again

Nice pLace. We saw the show with Robin Williams last night and it was awesome. Well, a few things to mention:

1. We waited in the line and when we got to the door this guy told us with an attitude that if we are "will call" we need to go to the other line! And it wasn't just us. He should have moved his bottom and come to the line and warned people that they might be standing in the wrong line, as it apperantly was happeing the whole night. or how about a sign or somthing? Instead, he just waited for people to get to him at the door and sent them back to the end of the other line!

2. Drinks are just OK.

Good seating and Audio settings. Rob Williams was amazing!

Great venue. I was here for the Vox launch party and was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance is fabulous. I can't wait to go back for some live music.

Time Machine. Bimbo's is a great place to see a band play live. One of the nicer looking ballrooms in San Francisco, you feel like you've gone back in time to the 1930's. The staff has always been nice when I have been there but the drinks are tiny. But there is really no reason not to go see a band play at Bimbo's, it's a super venue.

Swanky '30s-style decor calls for jazz and swing, but hot acts of many genres keep this North Beach joint hopping.. The Scene
What began as a Depression-era hot spot has become an institution. At this vintage ballroom, red-curtained walls, sparkly chandeliers and tuxedo-clad bartenders create a high-class feel without any snootiness. The stratified seating levels in back are for those who prefer cocktail service, and a woodsy lounge room on the side provides a quieter drinking place.
 
The Draw
Top performers of jazz, indie rock, electronica and hip-hop grace the main stage. The second stage, just to the left, is usually left covered in its glittery, cinched curtains. Touring acts are attracted to the accessible atmosphere (685-person capacity), clear sound and spacious dance floor. The three bars, including the oft-overlooked one to the left of the stage, serve kiddie-sized cocktails with a skimpy pour.

Great Venue. I have been to many concert halls in my day and Bimbo's has one of the best atmospheres around. I love the look and feel of the place. The drinks and servers are pretty standard for a bar. The accoustics up front near the stage were not great, but I would go back just because the place invites a great vibe.

Best Venue in SF. I go to a LOT of shows, and Bimbo's is easily the greatest venue in the city. Don't get me wrong, I love the Great American, Bottom of the Hill and even the Fillmore, but they just can't compare. Even crappy bands (the few that get booked) seem better @ Bimbo's.

Great Club, Good Sound system. Beautiful club, staff are nice, sound system is great. Only thing lacking is selection of beer and small cocktails.

But if you're there to see a band, you can actually see the band!
