Best Chinese east of Okinawa.
I've been eating at The Great Hunan for 18 years now. The food is consistently good and quite affordable. My favorites are black bean prawns, dry fried green beans (asparagus in season), lemon chicken, pot stickers, kung pao chicken, mongolian beef, sweet and sour soup and many more.

awesome hole in the wall!.
if not for a line outside the door, you'd probably walk right by and not think of ever stepping foot in this place. the service is very, very fast to the point of being rude! but it's almost funny in a way. the food is very fresh. i don't live in the city anymore, but i try to hit this place up everytime i'm in town.

overrated Chinese food.
I'm sorry to say that this place is overrated. I finally tried the restaurant after years of seeing people lined up outside waiting to be seated. I ordered the fried potstickers (good), orange chicken (dried up tiny pieces), and sizzling beef (not good). The plates are small and over priced for what it is. You can probably get better Chinese food at Panda Express.

The Best Chinese Food.
This place has the best of the following: Twice Cooked Pork - Perfect, Pot Stickers - Best Ever, Shrimp dishes have 12+ large shrimp for a great price, fish in black bean sauce is fantastic and I don't even like fish, wonton soup - excellent, lunch can be very crowded so try going there during dinner can't say enough about this place Try it you'll like it!!!

Has anyone been to Great Hunan in the past couple of years? I used to go there in late 80's and it was fantastic! I had to move due to family issues but I crave it!
